Moms on Call

A friend of mine who has a seven month old swears by the Moms on Call books. Does anyone else have experience? LO is two weeks old today, which is when the schedules begin in the book, but I'm at least wanting to talk to my pediatrician about everything on Monday at our two week checkup before we make any decisions. For one, the book is very adamant about baby sleeping in the crib, which totally stresses me out this early. However, my friend said this was the only way she got any sleep and her LO adapted fine. We have a video monitor that we will set up if we end up trying to implement the Moms on Call schedule, but I'm just still not so sure. Just wanting any feedback anyone may have on using their methods. I used the search option, but all the posts on this topic were old and the discussions were closed.

Re: Moms on Call

  • I don't think a rigid schedule of any kind is necessary. I haven't used this book. I use happiest baby on the block, baby wise, website precious little sleep, asking others, questions online, various online sites. My kids sleep in their own beds. LO is in a co sleeper by my bed. Previous babe switched to crib at 12 weeks adjusted & slept all night. But we don't cry it out. Until 12 mos. some nights I had to get up and rock babes for hours. But I won't have them in my bed. It's not safe.
