Moms on Call

A friend of mine who has a seven month old swears by the Moms on Call books. Does anyone else have experience? LO is two weeks old today, which is when the schedules begin in the book, but I'm at least wanting to talk to my pediatrician about everything on Monday at our two week checkup before we make any decisions. For one, the book is very adamant about baby sleeping in the crib, which totally stresses me out this early. However, my friend said this was the only way she got any sleep and her LO adapted fine. We have a video monitor that we will set up if we end up trying to implement the Moms on Call schedule, but I'm just still not so sure. Just wanting any feedback anyone may have on using their methods.

Re: Moms on Call

  • We used the Moms on Call schedule with our first and it was amazing! My DD would cry every night from 8-12. We started the schedule and no more crying. We just started using the schedule a couple of days ago with this LO. On day one we tried the crib for the morning nap but didn't go so well. This is day three and LO is currently napping in crib! I would recommend starting out slowly with the schedule. As long as you stay on track with the feeding and have one nap a day in the crib you are good.
