R/R/CS: Temp went up today! But it's done that before 7DPO and I've still started spotting, so I'm not optimistic about a longer LP yet.
GTKY: Which food would you banish from your Thanksgiving (or other holiday if you don't celebrate it) table forever? Uh, fake mashed potatoes. My MIL makes fucking FAKE mashed potatoes for THANKSGIVING. Can you tell I'm a bit ragey over this? I don't get to do Thanksgiving with my family because they're so far away, and I get that everyone has different ways of doing things, but how can you make fake mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving??? She also cooks the turkey the day before and warms it in a crock pot. So I would ban both of those things.
R/R/CS: I am so nervous every time I use the restroom that signs of AF will be arriving. We will be starting fertility treatments the beginning of next year- (IUI) after my DH being diagnosed with severe MFI, so I have two more cycles that we could get pregnant "naturally." We could start next cycle but we decided we want to enjoy Christmas without the pressure. It has been a stressful, emotional last few weeks for us.
On a more positive note, I am sooo looking forward to Thanksgiving and will be baking some yummy desserts tonight to bring. Candy cane chocolate chip meringues and pumpkin pie shooters.
GTKY: Which food would you banish from your Thanksgiving (or other holiday if you don't celebrate it) table forever?
My mom is an amazing cook so I usually love everything. I would say gravy because I think it is disgusting.
Happy Thanksgiving, ladies!

@hummingbird125 - LOL about salad. I was thinking about bringing one to the inlaws tomorrow along with my pie but you bring up a good point! No salad it is!
Month/Cycle: 5/4
CD/DPO: 28/ 10
Timing: -4, -3, 0
Testing: I was going to test this morning but I chickened out... Tomorrow FMU for sure! At least that way, if BFN I can drown my sorrows in stuffing, pie, and most importantly wine.
R/R/CS: 3 days off for Thanksgiving makes me a VERY happy lady! I've never had 3 days off for Thanksgiving in my career -- usually I work at least Friday, if not Thursday AND Friday. Fist pump for days off!
GTKY: Which food would you banish from your Thanksgiving (or other holiday if you don't celebrate it) table forever? I'm with @pennstatecait on this one -- Candied Yams. YUCK. Too sweet to be on a dinner plate!
R/R/CS: HUGE temp drop today, almost positive I'm out. Just waiting on AF. I'm ok with it though, and today starts my 5-day weekend!
GTKY: Which food would you banish from your Thanksgiving (or other holiday if you don't celebrate it) table forever? Yams/sweet potatoes (or as I like to call them, spudly liars), especially with those little marshmallows.
DD born PPROM preemie at 36 weeks on 10/1/17 after over a year TI, then 3 failed IUIs, and finally a successful IVF FET.

@Slou24 - Oh no, I didn't mean to dissuade anyone ;-)
At my family's holidays, my grandpa's wife always makes a huge deal over her salad. She winds up comandeering part of the kitchen to "finish" it but grating cheese, chopping a few more veggies, mixing up her dressing, etc. - I'm sure on any other day I'd think "Oh! What a nice salad!" But there are just too many more delicious things on the table for me to want to eat any salad on Thanksgiving! Then she ends up standing over the bowl asking every single person at the table "A little salad? Did you get some salad yet?" and we all feel bad about turning her down after all the effort she put in.... too bad dogs don't want salad.
LOL @littlemisstimelord I'm sitting here thinking of other slush/booze combos to try. Like the Coke Icee and Kracken, yep I'm ready for summer to come back

@LittleMissTimeLord I missed the slushie/alcohol train too, but I'm willing to jump on now! Also, I like your username.
Speaking of slushies, has anyone tried the Surge slushie at Burger King? I used to drink about a case of Surge a day when I was 13ish. I think I may need to get one for nostalgia.

R/R/CS: First I wanted to say how thankful I am that I have found this community and how much I have learned by being a part of it. I have a friend who has been TTC off and on at various points for the last 2 years and has been to an RE and they were scheduled for IUI next month or going to do IUI next month. She and I have been talking a lot more over the last few months than we had in the past and she just found out she is pregnant. She said that she had no clue when they first started trying and she learned so much more about the process through talking to me, but everything I've learned has come from this board. She said she felt like I was leaps and bounds in the knowledge department of everything than where she was 2 years ago when they first started trying. So again, I'm very thankful for all of you ladies, especially the veterans on the board. For any of you going to see a specialist, I would strongly encourage you to get a 2nd opinion if you have any questions or concerns about your first opinion. I went to see a different RE last week because the 1st one I saw was recommending we do Clomid & IUI right off the bat. When I told DH this, he was very upset. I know it is their job to get you KTFU ASAP but he didn't even say we can try some Clomid first and see what happens. His nurse said that he recommends that because the chances of a BFP are increased vs just doing the Clomid. DH's SA was very good and my HSG came back good as well. I knew there were a few other things, tests that could be done and I had made the appt for a 2nd opinion a few weeks after I saw the 1st dr just in case. The 2nd RE asked me from what I can recall about the appt with the 1st guy WAY more questions about me and DH. He also said I had been doing my homework and that was obvious by all the info I was able to give him and what I already knew about how all of this works. Another kudos to this board and you ladies. He wants to do a CM test and said there could be more blood tests done, which is funny he said that because I had just told DH in the 24 hours before I saw the 2nd dr that may be something they want to do. He will also do an u/s that day to see the fibroid and "reoccuring cyst" on my L ovary. I appreciate him wanting to do all of this before jumping into IUI. Yes I so very badly wanted a BFP yesterday......but neither DH or I was ready to jump into IUI so quickly especially when so many things are pointing to that at some point, it should happen on its own. At least as of right now anyways. So, just my 2 cents, but if you have seen a specialist or are going to see one and have any reason to think that maybe what they are saying doesn't quite match up with what you are thinking or what you had in mind, I'd strongly encourage you to get a 2nd opinion.
I've been busy with busy work @ work which has been a nice change of pace and I'm not sure how I feel about things this month. Chances of pregnancy are supposed to increase after HSG but I also am pretty sure I O'd early and we may have not had the best timing, so I'm just going to assume its not going to be this month and be pleasantly surprised if it somehow was this month.
I hope you all have a wonderful thanksgiving!!
GTKY: Which food would you banish from your Thanksgiving (or other holiday if you don't celebrate it) table forever? Cranberry sauce and sweet potatoes with marshmallows.....yuck!!
@chrlyr- I feel ya! I’ve got a bottle of hard cider that is pretty big and I’ve had it forever because I could never finish it by myself…..but I think that bad boy is going to get opened over the weekend sometime!! And I hate cranberry sauce of any sort!
@Hummingbird125 I can easily see it being day 38,39, or 40 maybe…..Has FF given you any messages about having a triphasic chart? I feel like another poster had a triphasic chart a few months ago and FF actually gave her a message about it? And salad?? Who has salad on Thanksgiving?
@sldp123- I was never a sweet potato fan until I found a few ways to cook them in which I really like them. I make a yummy sweet potato apple bake thing that is sooooo good but sweet potatoes and marshmallows?? No thank you. I think its really all in how they are done!
@KDHB13- Sorry about the long cycles!! I know that has to be frustrating.
@BooksforMe23 Temping can be such an eye opening experience! Glad you’ll be able to get on board next month! FX that AF shows sooner than later! Just keep in mind that there can be a few different things that can affect your temps such as drinking alcohol ( depending on how much you’ve had some people will see significant temp spikes if you go to bed with a buzz and your body has to process all that alcohol) or mouth breathing/snoring can cause your temps to be all over the place. There are lots of ladies here to help you along the way though!! And give me all the carbs too!!
@blonde1817- I’m sorry that the polyp removal affected your FW but its great that you have still been keeping track of things and learning more about how all this works!! Just gives you better odds for next month!!
@ReadyForaB I’m not sure about whether or not peeing directly onto the Wondfo would affect it or not but I have to say that it might because the instructions say that you are not supposed to dip the sticks further than the test line for the OPKS. So maybe?? I’d try it again tomorrow with a cup….sorry. FX for you though!!
@LittleMissTimeLord Yes!! It would be nice to get “rewarded” for all these points!! Ha ha ha…..booze magic
@AndiPandi127 I think its too early for the temp drop to mean you are out, unless you have extremely short LP. You will probably just have to wait to see what happens over the next few days!
@severmilli12 Sorry about your allergies!! No fun! Have you ever tried a Neti pot? At least you are post O so they hopefully didn’t affect that too much
@sarah0985 Is this your first month temping? That can be hard….shoot even now sometimes I’m like what is going on?? I don’t get it….but yes the being sick and camping can definitely have some major affects on your temps! Hang in there girl!!
@0SeaMonkey0 Sorry about the temp drop…..I hope you are able to find a way to be good to yourself over the next few days!!
@FerdieFox I’ve had to have a few different conversations with H over the last few months about things that are ok to say and those that are not. Its just a part of it and sometimes you just have to break it down for them because they do not understand. I’m sorry though.
@PennStateCait Its not the length of your cycle per say that determines when is appropriate to test but the length of your luteal phase, the time after you ovulate until the time you get AF. Do you know how long your luteal phase is? If you have a short luteal phase (12 days or less) it usually is not recommended to test any sooner than 10 DPO because the chances of getting a BFN are pretty high. Knowing the length of your luteal phase would be the best way to determine when you should test.
@jhems776 Sorry about the spotting. I am going to def try to plan for EOD sex next month based on the fact I’m pretty sure I ovulated earlier than I normally do, although my temps are saying otherwise, but I’m not sure I trust them. The Turkey Trot sounds fun!!
@MEA0320 My DH hates how spontaneous my family is. He is such a planner about so many things and my family is all over the place (both in physical locations all over the East Coast and with changing the plan on a frequent basis) It makes him crazy!! So I can empathize with you because I know how crazy it makes him!! I hope you have fun though @ the tail gate Sorry about the BFN.
@MrsDho11 Sorry about the BFN…..maybe just wait till Friday to test again so you can enjoy tomorrow if you think another BFN tomorrow will affect your mood? Hugs to you.
@bcooke314 Sorry to hear you and H are sick!! Lots of fluids and rest for you both.
@chicandbubbly Sorry to hear about all of the stress you guys have been going through. I know that its so hard to even just go through the beginning stages of seeing an RE and then waiting to find out test results etc. I am glad though that you have gotten a diagnosis and that you have a plan in place. I think that waiting until next year and just enjoying the holidays is probably one of the best things you can do. If you guys have never done anything super fancy or fun for New Years maybe you can go all out this year? We did that last year and it was the first time we had done that and it was so much fun! I got my hair and make up done and we went out with friends and it was just overall a really good time. Hugs to you, I hope you are able to enjoy the holiday tomorrow.
@mrsdee15 I’m so looking forward to being off for the next few days too!! And we are going to do some serious shopping!! Nothing like a little retail therapy
@Sarafuss I’m sorry about the BFN…..try to be good to you over the next few days. Maybe wait another day or 2 to test again?
@Bookhousegirl Sorry to hear you are not feeling well!! At least you are past O and that wasn’t affected. Lots of fluids and rest for you!!
MrsDho11------since you mentioned you copied and pasted stuff, I tried doing that today but none of my replies are showing up!!! help!! I did all my replies in a word document and it didn't work......never mind!!
Eta: ok I had a whole thing written but TB ate it again!!! Ugh
So last evening when AF showed I somehow lost it. I was expecting AF but was very surprised by becoming unglued. I felt very defeated last night but today I am feeling hopeful as we are moving on to a new chance to try. It just feels like we've been trying so much longer bc we originally started to try in March and then I went back on BC for a new job and then went off again in July. Now wishing I had stayed off in March!
Eta: and now it ate my GTKY. Maybe TB knows I'm no longer in TWW so I'm not allowed to post here? Jk
GTKY I would lose the rolls bc I love the other carbs so much better and I think the rolls are a silly filler.
Testing: afraid to see the BFN again but I am going to wait until Sunday maybe a little longer...
R/R/CS: this month my anxiety about getting pregnant is much higher and I just am feeling a little over whelmed. Chart attached for those who like to look.
@mrsE2015 I don't really have any insight into your chart, but I just wanted to say that your timing should actually be -3 and -1 which is good timing, not +3 and +1 which is actually kind of terrible, haha. Sorry you are feeling more anxious this month, I kind of am too. But we've done everything we can do at this point, now we just have to trust our bodies. Fx for you!

Hi ladies! It's my first time in TWW and I'm not even sure I belong here just yet but time will tell I guess...
Month/Cycle: 1/1
CD/DPO: ?/1 possibly
Timing: -1, O
Testing: not sure yet, starting 10 dpo and maybe weekly until af shows?
R/R/CS: so I got Mirena out Monday, but a few days prior to that I had ewcm and other "signs" of O (I put signs in quotes because I wasn't temping) Anyway, the day I got it out I had what felt like o cramping. I picked up an OPK the next day (Tues)and got a faint positive Tuesday early evening, a definite positive late Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning, and a definite negative later this morning. BD'ed Monday and Tuesday so we'll see. I'm side eyeing the idea that I "just so happened" to O the same day Mirena came out and could've actually conceived that quickly, but going by the signs and the kit it's possible I guess. I'm not getting my hopes up that's for sure.
GTKY: Which food would you banish from your Thanksgiving (or other holiday if you don't celebrate it) table forever? I agree with pp's on canned cranberry sauce. Real sauce is so easy to make and tastes so much better.
CD/DPO: approx 8-11 (not temping, just going off calendar for now, I know I could be way off)
Timing: Not exact
Testing: Will test sat or sun if no AF
R/R/CS: Just waiting and trying very very hard not to read in to symptoms that are likely in my head. One breast is leaking colostrum, but this had happened before AF on a few occasions, so again, trying not to read in to it.
GTKY: Which food would you banish from your Thanksgiving (or other holiday if you don't celebrate it) table forever?

ETA: typo corrections
So I guess it's technically possible to ovulate so quickly after your Mirena is removed but pretty unlikely.
When you say your OPK was a "faint positive", what does this mean? The test line must be darker than the control line to be positive. If a faint test line shows up, that's not a faint positive, that's a negative. Also, OPKs just show that your body is gearing up to ovulate, but it doesn't confirm you ovulated. Are you temping to confirm? I know you wouldn't have a good baseline because your Mirena just came out, but at least you would have something to go off of.

You're right, I did put the "faint positive" as a negative in ff once I saw what a real positive looked like. I'm pretty terrible at temping because I work nights and my sleep patterns are all over the place. Most of the time I just forget so I have no reference point just yet. I figured that since I did see some an actual positive on the OPK followed by a clear negative along with some secondary signs that I very well could've O'ed. Could be wishful thinking though so I'm just waiting to see what happens. I wouldn't be disappointed/surprised to see af any day now.
Testing: I was going to wait until Saturday, but I've been symptom spotting so hard that I can't bear it any longer. Tomorrow morning if AF or spotting doesn't happen first.
R/R/CS: rant... someone keeps adding water to the hand soap at work. Now I have to pump it like 20 times to even get a little bit of lather.
GTKY: Which food would you banish from your Thanksgiving (or other holiday if you don't celebrate it) table forever? Cranberry sauce. Especially the canned stuff. Eeewww

My ILs do this with all their shampoo and body wash. When we lived far away and used to sleep over their house during visits, showering there would drive me freakin' crazy! I'd go to put shampoo on my hands and a flood of water would come out at me instead. How is that going to clean my hair?!?!
I've been peeing directly onto wondfos. Would this yield false positives? I'm too lazy to do the whole cup thing
I would just like to say that I am impressed with the way you just threw the wondfo rule back right out the window and pee'd directly on that stick just because you wanted to. I'd like to think I'm pretty daring but I didn't even think of that (and probably wouldn't dare). But hats of to your free spirit!

Sometimes water just gets in from the shower - that has happened to me before and I definitely don't add water to my shampoo.

I don't go here right now, but I just wanted to chime in on @chrlyr 's Taco Bell Vodka Cheery Freeze! I totes did that last time AF showed up. The only vodka we had in the house was Pinnacle Cotton Candy Vodka, but it still did the job!
Thank you @MrsDho11 and @MNturnsVA. Yeah. First full successful month temping. Temp just dropped so pretty sure AF is on her way today. If she comes, I either have a 14 day lp or 11 day lp. Either way I guess im thankful for a normal lp this thanksgiving Won't be on later today as I work, then will be driving two hours up north for our thanksgiving dinner! I hope everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving and hoping for lots of Thanksgiving bfps for everyone else!!!! If you aren't celebrating, I still hope you get a Thursday bfp
TTC1: May 2015
Primary IF May 2016; Failed HSG; Scheduled Lap Sept. 2016
Testing: BFN again this am. Will test every am until AF or BFP.
R/R/CS: Don't feel like this is going to be our month. On the bright side, I'm proud of myself for temping all month as I'll have a baseline going forward!!! Also greatly looking forward to drinking wine tomorrow.
GTKY: Which food would you banish from your Thanksgiving (or other holiday if you don't celebrate it) table forever? Turkey and gravy, cranberry sauce and greenbean casserole.
Happy Thanksgiving!! FX to everyone for holiday BFPs!!
In related news @MrsDho11, my dog has been following me around and staring at me all day. Probably don't even need to POAS. His glaring is all the BFP I need.
Re: TWW Wednesday
CD/DPO: 21/7
Timing: -5, -4, -2, O, +1
Testing: none planned

Timing: -1, -2. -3. -4
Testing: Waiting until tomorrow when AF is due.

GTKY: Which food would you banish from your Thanksgiving (or other holiday if you don't celebrate it) table forever?
Oh man, I guess this is an UO, but I LOVE canned cranberry sauce!
I would definitely get rid of any jello like desserts and pumpkin pie, the texture of both totally gross me out.

I make a yummy sweet potato apple bake thing that is sooooo good
but sweet potatoes and marshmallows??

@MNturnsVA Just stopping by to say that I'm happy to see your update in the TWW, and that I'm still rooting for you. Hugs and FX lady!

R/R/CS: this month my anxiety about getting pregnant is much higher and I just am feeling a little over whelmed. Chart attached for those who like to look.

Edited for being half asleep when typing!

BFP: 5/20/16 | EDD: 1/28/17 | Twin boys born 1/16/17

Candied sweet potatoes. Yuck. Too sweet for me.
CD/DPO: 27/16 (not confirmed)
Timing: -2,0,2
Testing: I was going to wait until Saturday, but I've been symptom spotting so hard that I can't bear it any longer. Tomorrow morning if AF or spotting doesn't happen first.
R/R/CS: rant... someone keeps adding water to the hand soap at work. Now I have to pump it like 20 times to even get a little bit of lather.
GTKY: Which food would you banish from your Thanksgiving (or other holiday if you don't celebrate it) table forever?
Cranberry sauce. Especially the canned stuff. Eeewww
