What's your schedule like?

For those of you who have your LO following somewhat of a schedule, whether it's what they are doing naturally or it's what you're trying to fit them into, what does your daily schedule look like?

Re: What's your schedule like?

  • We wake up normally around 4-5am to eat and I get home to sleep until 7:45-9am depending on the morning. Daddy leaves for work at 7am so sometimes I get up to talk to him first. Then I feed him, change him, and put him in clean clothes. He is normally drowsy and falls back to sleep long enough for me to pump quickly and I take a shower. He eats again around 10-11 and we watch Lets Make a Deal and Price is Right until noon. Then he normally eats again and then I eat lunch. Then it's kinda sporadic eating on and off and napping until 6:30ish when he wakes up and eats and then daddy and I have dinner. Then it's family time in the living room and I get him to eat by 8:30-9:30 and get him to sleep as quickly as possible. I make sure he has pajamas on and that I'm already for bed before the 9:30 time period. Then he makes his own nighttime schedule. We kinda get up to eat every two to three hours but have had a few four hour stretches. Then we start all over again at 5am!

I'm going to bed around 10-11pm depending on the night and waking up anywhere between 7:30-9am depending on the morning. I am not napping during the day cause I don't feel tired. If I am tired I nap but normally feel rested when I wake up

I am going to bed around 7/8pm because that's when he does and he takes the longest stretch of sleep then. So I feed him generously, eat dinner and then jump right in bed with baby. He's usually up from that sleep between 11:30 pm and 12:30 am for the next feeding so that works out to give me about 4 hrs of sleep. Thru the night, we'll do shorter periods of sleep like 1-2 hours with him waking up to feed till 5:30/6 am when I hand him to my mum so my husband and I can sleep till 8:30am/9am. She'll bath him and feed him some pumped milk during that time. Then I wake up at 9am ish and begin the day with him feeling somewhat refreshed. My husband finds a way to fit himself into this schedule lol.

Also, I rarely nap during the day cos I get a decent amount of sleep at night. But if I do feel like I need a nap, I'll hand him to my husband or my mum and take a quick nap.
  • Going to bed at 9: change, feed, read a book to DD and I'm usually in bed by 10.

Wake when she does, usually 4 hours later.. Then we typically have another 2-3 hour stretch... Get out of bed between 7:30/8:00am

She seems to cluster feed all day long

Then daddy gets home from work at 4 so they spend time together (she usually naps on his chest while I make dinner.)

Then feed on demand until our 9pm bed time

  • LO is 4 weeks old. He goes a 4-5 hr stretch between feedings. So typically he'll eat at 6am, awake for 1-1 1/2 hrs, then nap. Feed again at 10, repeat and feed again at 2 pm, does the same for evening. We put him down around 8-8:30, then he'll wake around 10-11 pm and 1-2 am for feedings in the night. Then we begin again! Sometimes he'll shift the schedule an hour or so. But for a 4-week old, it's somewhat of a pattern so I'll take it!
  • @kassyfry and @ameares721 how old are your baby's that they are sleeping that long!?

My LO (4 weeks today) is like this:

8 pm bed (we start at 7 and it usually takes an hour to feed, sing, rock to sleep)

Up at 12ish. I'm trying to sleep more between 8-12 because he's up more after that.

Up at 2, 4, 6 to feed and fingers crossed the process only takes 30 min but there are nights it's taken 90 and then he's up again like clockwork on the two-hour mark

6 am we go out to the living room. I turn on the tv and feed him, eat something myself if possible, and put him in the swing or boppy. He will be WIDE AWAKE.

Then he naps off and on through the day- some times I track and sometimes I don't so I am not fully aware of his "schedule". It's roughly every 2 hours but scheduling his days wasn't changing his nights so he is now eating and sleeping on demand. He will sleep for 4 hours during the day for a stint too but mostly catnaps. He was a lower weight baby and lost 11% right away so I'm focusing on plumping him up and just going with it. We also leave the house a lot and he naps in his car seat.

He is three weeks old. He eats every two to three hours at night. When I said I go to bed at 10-11 and get up at 7:30-9, that didn't factor in waking up to feed him every few hours. I keep our night time feedingsand diaper changes very short and get him back to sleep as quickly as possible. So, I'm sleeping from that time period in two hour blocks. Sorry for the confusion.

    That's great! So jealous haha.
  • @ameares721 that is awesome! How much is she eating? And so she didn't go through that 6 week growth spurt that everyone talks about (knock on wood)?
  • 8:30-9am we wake up, change diaper and clothes then eat 10am morning nap 12-1pm she wakes up gets diaper change and eats, the plays/tummy time Rest of the day is up to her 8:30-9pm bath then bottle 10pm bed time 3-5am wakes up and eats/diaper change/back to bed
  • 6:30AM- Wake up, eat 3oz expressed breastmilk while I pump
7:00-9:30: He is awake for a little bit, then usually sleeps in his pack n play or in th carrier while I try to get a few things done
    9:30: Pump/Feed 3oz
10:00-12:30: Run an errand if I have anything to do, go for a walk. He is usually awake until 11:30ish then naps again
    12:30- Pump/Feed 3oz
1:00-3:30- He's usually fussy during this time, so I walk around with him or throw him in the carrier while I start dinner. He'll nap on and off
    3:30- Pump/Feed 3oz
4:00- Daddy comes home, plays with baby, I make dinner 4:30- Eat dinner, baby usually naps 6:00- sometimes bath, change, ready for bed, feed 2-3oz, bed time 6:30- Baby sleeps, I pump 7:00- I go to bed 10:30ish- Baby up, feed 2oz 2:30- Baby up, daddy feeds 2oz. He is usually fussy for a while at this time but goes to sleep eventually
  • @mdandrea1436 she's been exclusively breastfed so I have no idea in ounces. She did go through a growth spurt at 6 weeks but it just resulted in more daytime feedings and longer naps.
