Re: ***3rd tri check-in -11/23/15***

  • Had an appointment Thursday and again today. Both have been looking good and I'm anxiously awaiting my 36 week growth scan, that'll help determine when they induce us. It all seems to be going by so quickly at this point! Especially with the 2 appointments a week that last for hours.

QOTW - I've been waiting for Thanksgiving food for weeks and weeks. I've been telling the little ones that they need to stay in at least until this next Sunday. We have a second Thanksgiving on Saturday and Christmas decorating to do on black Friday to follow our tradition, so they need to stay put!
I cannot pick one thing I'm most excited to eat. I want it all!!! I guess I really want some deep fried turkey and pie. And leftovers. All the leftovers. I've already called first dibs as I'm eating for 3.
  • Loading the player...
  • @suchaglencoco - hahahaha, I love that you've called dibs on *all* the leftovers.  :)

33 weeks tomorrow!  Have cut way down on the walking per last week's doctor app't, and as I predicted, now my sleep is horrible.  I'm awake from 3-4.30 or so every night.  Awesome.  And I am SO SO SO tired all the time, except when I go to bed when I'm suddenly revved up and spend 45 min on Facebook to wind down.  Good times, I tell ya.  We went car-shopping for DH this weekend because his car is 10 years old and has been having lots of issues.  I told him that we don't want the "check engine" light to come on (and have the car start driving really jerkily and refusing to go above 25mph) when we're en route to L&D, so he test-drove a few cars over the weekend and wants to test-drive one of them again at a different dealer because we had such an awful experience at the dealer we went to first.  Hopefully he will do that during the week and we can finalize everything - buy the new car, trade-in the old car, etc. - within the next week or two.

QOTW: Well, we are going to a friend's this year, so I'm not in charge of the menu.  I'm making sweet potatoes (plus butternut squash and sugar pie squash) with marshmallow fluff, and a chocolate dessert - probably a fudge/mousse pie.  I'm not into pumpkin pie, which someone else is making, so I guess I'm looking forward to my own dessert :)  And stuffing.  I love stuffing.  Here's hoping my friend makes it well.  :)

@marnief, I'm sorry you cannot sleep well now, but I'm proud of you for following doctors orders!
And car shopping is the pits! Especially when it's more of a need than a want purchase.

My brother and SIL are in charge of the pies this year since I'm laid up with being so big. They hate pumpkin but I pulled the pregnancy card on my brother and they will bring one pumpkin. I cannot wait.

  • Hi ladies. I'm 30 weeks and getting pretty big. The little guy's in my right rib cage constantly and it's very painful. I've resorted to chasing him off with an ice pack, although it's only temporary as he's right back as soon as the ice is gone. My dr. gave me some Vicodin in case the pain gets too bad. So far, I'm ok, but barely. I've gotten over the bronchitis and am now resuming some exercise and back getting the nursery ready. I have a lot more energy, however, I'm bushed by about 4 pm, so I try to get everything done early. As for T-giving, I'm definitely not hosting :-) but am bringing the veggie dishes this year.

I was too lazy yesterday to go through 2nd tri threads to see your due date, so thank you! Haha
  • Hi ladies! Last night and this morning were on the scary side. Had some bright red bleeding last night. It didn't last long, and the on call doc said to just come in this morning. I did and everything looks fine, but I have a pesky polyp on my cervix. Luckily it shouldn't change anything, and if it bleeds again I'll at least know that it is the most likely cause. I hardly slept last night worrying. Upside, I got to see the baby again, and he's doing great.
32 weeks on Thursday, it feels like the time is just flying. Still so much to do!

I'm pretty much looking forward to all the food. Especially the pie though. All of the pies.
  • @emcarl24, that sounds terrifying! Glad it's nothing too serious.
    I agree, time is flying!
  • Happy Thanksgiving ladies! Hope everyone is having a great day :)

Hello, all. I am almost 28 weeks but have already been dropped from the count down in 2nd trimester report in. I figured that was a hint to introduce myself to all of you. Lol

I have two girls on board ( one of which is crazy active and the other seems much calmer). Their eviction date is 2/8 which is 38 weeks. I was told that most twins show up around 36 weeks though so I have been telling people I have a due range instead of a due date.

My next doc appointment and next ultrasound are both on dec9th so no news there other than passing the dreaded GTT.

Yesterday, I had to work. We did have a potluck and it was nice to sit down and chat with coworkers that I don't usually get to know much about because we are all so busy. The other plus? Pumpkin pie during a work day.
