Low and very slow rising hCG levels

So last month I had low hCG levels (started at 9) and they did double every 48 hours until they reached 300 then I miscarried. This month I became pregnant again and my level started off at 10 but this time they are rising but not by much (10 on Tues, 14 on Thur and 17 on Sat). I'm going in for more blood work today. I do not have my hopes up that this will continue on into a healthy pregnancy. I have come to terms that I am going to lose this one too. My question is, has anyone gone though this and been able to find out what the problem was? I'm seeing a specialist on Wednesday hoping for answers.

I've never been through this (I had my first mc on Halloween and my levels were already at 4 when I went to the ER with spotting) but I want to offer support and virtual hugs. I hope that when you go in for testing that they'll also check your progesterone - my doctor said that low progesterone can be a common cause of repeated miscarriages. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that everything works out okay and that you get the answers you're looking for.

Thank you! I did force them to check my progesterone with my first blood test and it came back very low. This was my guess as to the cause as well. I am seeing a doctor who specializes in miscarriage on Wednesday. Fingers are crossed that it's as simple as that.
