Stark white OPKs but IUI tomorrow?

I'm so confused... I just left a mssg with my clinic but honestly I'm starting to trust you guys more than them.

I went for a CD11 U/S yesterday and I had a 17mm follicle. My IUI was booked for tuesday and I was given a trigger shot to do today.

I've taken 10 OPKs at various time since yesterday and all are a glaring negative. I can barely see the test line.

Am I missing something? Do you think they're jumping the gun with IUI?

Oct 11, 2015: Cycle 13. Starting Femara (2.5mg). HSG this cycle (all clear) - BFN
Nov 12, 2015: Cyle 14. Femara 5mg + IUI - BFN
Dec 10, 2015: Cycle 15. Femara 5mg + IUI #2 - BFP #5! C/P 4w4d
Jan 10, 2016: Cycle 16. Femara 5mg + IUI #3 - BFN.
Feb 10, 2016: Cycle 17.  No IUI or meds. Taking a break - Natural BFP Mar 5, 2016!!!! EDD Nov 16, 2016
Moving to IVF March 2016
Beta at 10dpo: 21, Beta at 12dpo: 98, Beta at 14dpo: 264, Beta at 16dpo: 745
U/S 6w6d: single beautiful heartbeat of 121bpm - It's a boy!!!!
Nov 3, 2016: Our family became complete. Welcome DS #2.

    What did your bloodwork show?  I have never been able to turn an OPK if that makes you feel better.  Also, once you trigger, you need to stop with the OPKs.  You will get false positives.  Did they tell you to keep checking with OPKs?

    The trigger will make you O around 36 hours after, and I believe the most common range is 32-42 hours. I would just trust your RE on their timing on this one. It doesn't hurt to ask them like you are, though.

    Unexplained with (controlled) hypothyroidism and suspected ovulatory dysfunction (but, I do ovulate on my own)
    Clomid 50 mg 3/15 (unmonitored) - BFN
    Clomid 50 mg + metformin 4/15 (unmonitored) - BFN 
    First RE appt. 5/15; Natural cycle 5/15 monitored with 2 mature follicles and Pregnyl Trigger (full dose) + prometrium - BFN
    6/15 HSG - clear tubes & normal uterus; great PCT test results
    TI - 100 mg Clomid + prometrium (AM & PM) + vaginal estrace (AM & PM) 6-7/15 (monitored) --> no additional response and thinned lining - BFN
    TI - Injectables (follistim + Gonal-F, Ganirelix, & 1/2 dose Pregnyl) + prometrium (AM & PM) 9/15 --> 3-7 mature follicles (3 definites and 4+ that could have matured due to trigger) @ O -->BFN + 5 large cysts
    BC for 2 weeks due to cysts
    TI - Injectables (Gonal-F, Ganirelix & full dose Pregnyl) + prometrium (AM & PM) 10/15 --> 1 mature follicle --> BFN 
    TI - Last attempt at injectables (Gonal-F, Ganirelix & 1/2 dose Pregnyl) + crinone (AM only) + vaginal estrace (AM & PM) 11/15 --> 3-4 mature follicles --> BFP!! 11/27/15 @ 13dpo (shockingly, actually waited until then to test)

    Beta #1 @ 16dpo (11/30/15) = 1,075
    Beta #2 @ 19dpo (12/3/15) = 3,150
    One baby: Saw heartbeat @ 5w5d (114 bpm; baby measuring 2.3mm)

    You're using a trigger.  You are not relying on your body's natural LH. 

    OPKs can't really help you, since you may get false positives with them, but you don't really need the LH surge anyway.  The trigger shot will use a different hormone to make you ovulate.
    Me- 39 (turning 40 in April), TTC for the first time ever (since Jan 2015), low ovarian reserve
    Married 3/14/14 to my wonderful wife, but her sperm count is rather low
    TTC with frozen donor sperm and science

    7 IUIs, 7 BFNs.
    2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs.
    Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire.
    Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus!  
    fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP! 
    Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)

    Also, if it makes you feel better, I never turn an OPK, but I know I've ovulated every time. I drink too much water for them to work.

    Thanks everyone! My mind is at ease. I was just confused because when I searched FF for IUI charts almost all has +OPK then the next day IUI.

    My clinic called back and said throw the OPKS out this cycle.

    I was in a similar situation and I was so confused and nervous because this was my first round of IUI. Don't worry! You will be just fine tomorrow! Good luck!
