Help not sure what to do don't want to go back to the hospital for something false

I lost my mucus plug 2 weeks ago. I have been having soft stools all day long. I have had back pain all day long too as well. I also got my membranes stripped on Wednesday. Whatever baby moves it hurts really bad. And I keep intermittently getting small contractions off and on. I just want a second opinion my husband thinks that I should stay home but I'm not sure what to do because I read these are the signs of early labour and I'm scared on what to do.

  • 1. Your doctor should have given you an idea of when to go in by now

    2. If not, call you doctor or L&D

And the doctor stripped your membranes already? On Wed when you just turned 37 weeks.... Ya.. No. Just no.
I hope she meant 39 weeks 4 days
  • My hospital doesn't want me there unless water breaks or contractions are coming every 2 minutes. You ob should have told you what signs to look for before heading to the hospital.

Yeah...if that's the case, i don't know that calling her doctor to ask about this is going to help, because her doctor doesn't seem to be running a real quality operation.

Sounds like BH to me...drink a bunch of water and get off your feet.  If the contractions aren't getting closer together and progressively more painful, they're not active labor contractions.

Every 2 minutes? Um, that basically means the baby is COMING. I wouldn't wait until they are that close together. I did that with my second kid and almost had her in the car :(
  • Our hospital says 5-1-1. 5 minutes apart lasting about 1 minute for about 1 hour. When I went in with my second they were 4 min apart, but never lasted longer than45 seconds. And a serious side eye to the OB who stripped your membranes at 37 weeks. What was the medical reason for it?

  • Get an app to time everything.  If your water hasn't broken, then these are seriously early labor symptoms that can last for weeks.  If you're like most women, you'll know when you're in active labor.  My hospital said 3-1-1 to really come in (but call at 5-1-1).

I know this is frustrating, but you will KNOW when its the real deal.

Maybe it was every 3 minutes. I have a scheduled c-section this time so I am trying to remember from last time. I do remember that I had contractions every 2 minutes for nearly 48 hours before I finally hit a 4 and they would admit me so to me I guess 2 minutes doesn't seem like much!
