Fall at 37 weeks

I picked up my 4 year old and tripped and fell onto her Toddler table and chairs. My pants were wet so I went to check for blood or anything to indicate a problem and it was part of my mucas plug (disGUSting I know) I know If I feel decreased movement to call but it wouldn't be abnormal for me not to feel her for a while... So at what point should I call the dr? It's been an hour with no movement.

  • Oh my gosh that is scary! I would call regardless of movement or not. They may want you to come in and get checked out. In fact, I would insist on it. Better safe than sorry!
  • I think any fall warrants at least a call at this point! Hope all is fine!

  • Girl, I would already be on the phone, if just for my own peace of mind. Hope everything is okay!
  • Call your doctor now if you haven't already.

  • Scary! I'm actually not allowed to pick up my daughter because something like this happened around 25 weeks and it stressed my little man out.

    Always call your doctor!!
  • My doctor lists a fall as a reason to call no matter what! Please call!

  • Yes, get off the bump and call your doctor!
  • Baby could be moving and still in distress. Please call your Dr.
    Good luck and update us!
  • Did you call your doctor?
  • If your pants were wet, I would be worried about waters breaking/leaking. As others said, call doc!! Let us know!
  • As everyone said, call your doctor and keep us posted when you can!
  • I hope you called. Let us know how you are when you can. Hoping everything is ok.
  • I would still go into L&D just to make sure everything is fine. I fell and thought everything was ok because I wasn't bleeding and could still feel her move. Once I told my doctor she gave me a good long lecture about the placenta tearing or detaching and other things that could be wrong. I'm not saying this to scare you, just please go get checked for peace of mind!
  • Dr said everything is fine even if I got into an accident and had significant trauma to my abdomen that it's very rare that something would be wrong and we'd know by now. Apparently water is the best cushion
  • JEESUM im glad you called. Scary scary. Thank God all is fine but still at this weeks appointment make sure they double check you. At least the water was your cushion. I almost tripped at the airport today picking up my stepkid and my SO said we dont want a hospital visit today. I sure as heck would have gone to the hospital too lol! Im a Panicky FTM.

  • nope he said if it's not continuing to leak all is good and it's not my water breaking. I go to my regular appointment Tuesday morning and I'll bring it up again
