6mo postpartum and milk has come back randomly, should I go back to pumping or ignore it. Help ?!

I'm 6mo pp and I thought b I dried b up a round 4mo since I couldn't keep up with my dd's appetite. Now I still have milk and it's not heavy but not drying up. What should I do? My dd has been eating solids and on formula for a while now so should I even attempt to bf or pump and give her bm again? Feedback and personal stories very welcome.

  • It kind of depends on what you want. If you want to go back to BFing then go for it. If you don't, then don't.

I guess if it were me, I would pump and see how much I could get out of one session. If it's more than an ounce or two, I might try to see if I can increase my supply more by pumping and nursing more often. But BFing is important to me and I like that it offsets formula costs. It would also depend on if LO would go back to nursing. If not, I don't think I'd be down with pumping exclusively for just a tiny bit of milk.
