Loved decorating this year. Helped my dad put up his tree as well (not pictured) , but he did most the hanging, I'm still always exhausted, hah! Then i did all the decorations at SO and my place (yup, pictured!) I just had him put the tree together and let me do everything else ^-^
WoW! Big trees you've got! I like big trees but that does not fit our livingroom. Each year I manage to get a bigger one than DH had in mind so already happy with that..;) Mine is missing some strings with beads so hope to find them en than it's really finished.
Question am I just buying the wrong christmas lights? They seem to break year after year, we have the LED kind just the cheap ones from Target, but honestly every year we throw them away and buy new ones because they stop lighting or a section does and it is too hard to figure out what happened??? Where did you ladies buy your lights, do I just need more expensive ones?

@bntfroggie to be honest I don't buy led bulbs...and I have the plain indoor/outdoor lights. Problem is I bought mine 11 years ago and just started throwing strands out this year. They definitely don't make things like they used to! I will have to go replenish what I tossed, but I still have 7-8 strands that still work. Heck one set was even from my GREAT GRANDMOTHERS decorations that were given to me- and they still work!
If the strands are going to be cheesy like that then I suggest just using dollar general/family dollar/dollar store ones. That way you aren't wasting a ton of money.

If you cannot go taller just keep going wider. This is how I trick my husband into a huge tree every year!!
@bntfroggie we got our lights at Wal-Mart as well. We've had them on our tree and outdoor lights for several years without a problem so far. They definately weren't really expensive ones.

I'll third the Walmart lights. Cheap (bought mine after Xmas, so they were extra inexpensive), and I've had mine for years as well.
