Signs of labor?

I'll be 37 weeks Monday and have had a major change in my body. Menstrual cramps, lower abdominal/pelvic pressure, lower and upper back pain, extreme nesting.. The list goes on.
Besides the obvious signs of labor such as your water breaking or contractions, are these signs of labor to come?

Also, how long can your body show signs before actually going into labor?

Re: Signs of labor?

  • Every woman and pregnancy/labor are different. You can show these types of "signs" for months before going into actual labor.

  • If the pain results in a baby coming out, then I would be almost certain you are in labor.
Signs can last for months leading up to the big day because your body is preparing to pop the kid out as soon as they implant.

    El oh el. True.
  • OP it would be awesome and super helpful for there to be fool proof signs of labor being imminent but unfortunately there is not. What you are describing is super normal but you shouldn't read too much into it.
