So I'm updating this because my kid is STILL asleep in her crib and I just woke up from a nap. Omg.
We put her in the Summer Infant Swaddleme. We don't feel comfortable with traditional swaddles at night (our pediatrician said no), but these Velcro the baby in to prevent them from kicking it off.
I put her in 30 min after a bottle- I keep her upright after feeding to help with gas.
I'm praying this works again tonight!! She's an amazing sleeper, just needs to do it somewhere other than my arms.

We used one the other night, and she slept so well in it!
Cecily's only three days old at this point, but she's been sleeping in the crib since night one (we went home the day she was born) and she's doing really well. Cluster-feeding at night, but she's been going some 3 hour stretches on her own once her belly is full enough. We swaddle her in a swaddleme and use a white noise machine with ocean sounds.

I've tried the swaddle and it didn't work but maybe I'll give her a good bottle so I know she gets plenty to eat then put her in there (she is now taking bottles at 2 weeks).
I second the summer infant swaddle me! my girl fights it at first, but falls right asleep and stays asleep. We do feeding, change, swaddle, feed and ocean white noise--that's the best combo I've found so far. Though the last few nights she's been doing this crazy grunting thing that keeps her awake, thinking it's gas or something...
Agree with summer infant swaddleme. Order from Amazon asap. Able to put our son Daniel in loose Muslin swaddle blanket and sack after feed/diaper change, rock for 10 min and then lay flat on back in crib. Usually goes 3 hours ( not back to birthweight) but they are genius and way better than halo sleep sacks in my opinion
What are you ladies having LO's wear under the swaddle?
We just put our LO in a onesie and then swaddle...our apt is pretty warm and I don't want him to overheat, he seems to run hot like his Dad!
As for where he sleeps, we got the arms reach cosleeper and aside from the first night home (I was too nervous to let him sleep in it) he has been able to sleep in there for a couple hr stretches at night (he is waking up about every 2 hrs to eat)...during the day he naps in my arms unless I need to eat or do something then he will nap for a little while in his bouncer...he doesn't really like it though I think we might get a swing since he likes when I rock him...there are times when I'm exhausted and we nap together in the recliner during the day or if he's super fussy at night, I know that there are risks for this but it is what works for us

We are in a cold part of the country so we do a cotton footed onesie with a halo sleepsack over the top. Sometimes arms swaddled in, other times left out (depends on her). She also wears little cotton gloves and a hat.
We keep our house temperature at 68 but it is drafty. This seems to work well for her as she's warm but not feeling overheated.
Baby (3 weeks) has been sleeping in the Rock and play also. She has figured out how to roll over on her tummy already which has me freaked. I tried to lay her down in the crib tonight, swaddled, but she was crying after about 5 minutes and had already rolled her little burrito self to where her face was partially on the mattress. I'll try the crib again tomorrow, hopefully with a better outcome.
Anyone else stoll on the couch with LO at almost 4 weeks?
I'm only almost 3 weeks but I am. The last 2 nights I've "given up" and put Zeke in bed with us. Annoyingly he cries still unless he's on top of me so I still don't sleep much because I have to lay still on my back. We still spend half the night in the living room though. I got through 3 episodes in a row of criminal minds last night because he would not chill
Cora has successfully been sleeping in her crib since 1 week old, she'll be 3 weeks old on Sunday. She usually sleeps 2.5 to 3 hour stretches through the night, last night she did a 4 hour stretch. But of course my toddler had to wake us up 3 times in that 4 hour stretch... I haven't used the SwaddleMe blanket yet, mine says it starts at 7lbs and Cora isn't quite there yet (close tho!) we just use cotton footed pj's and swaddle blankets for now.
I didn't see any comments about this but does anyone else's baby love the vibrating bouncer? LO will sleep for five hours straight in it. I'm sure that it is not recommended for extended sleep, but pedi did say he wanted her a little upright due to her reflux and momma needs some sleep
@sadyy131 if he's sleeping in the bouncer, then have him sleep in the bouncer. Do what works. Yes, it's better if your LO could sleep in a crib, but if he's sleeping, let him sleep.

We have the mamaroo, and it's fantastic. She fusses a tiny bit when she goes in, and then can't stay awake! We don't leave her in for more than an hour, but it's great for settling her down.
Does anyone have their LO sleeping in the bassinet part of a pack-n-play? I'm trying to figure out the best way to transfer him in there since he's not exactly a fan...
@itstheblackwidowbaby I don't have any advice for you on that one. My LO sleeps in there at night but I have to make sure he's already in a deep sleep or else he's up for another hour. Maybe try a blanket that smells like you? My LO also won't stay in there unless he's swaddled nicely where he can't get out of it.

Is the bassinet the large part with the hard mattress that hangs off the sides? If so then yes, that's where my LO has slept since we brought her home.

We tried that first. He hates it. I think it's too open for him. Of course, at this point anything other than in moms arms is too open for my guy

^^^ we have to do the exact same thing. My husband and I rock her to sleep and then transfer her in, she still will wake up and when she figures out we're not holding her or she's hungry will start crying. Initially we did the hot water bottle trick- seemed to help some. Now she uses a swaddle me and calms quite a bit down.
Our LO will be 4 weeks tomorrow and we have struggled to get her to sleep at night. During the day she sleeps just fine in a cradle n' swing but the witching hours from 10pm-6am we have tried the cradle n' swing, the rock n play, bassinet unswaddled, bassinet swaddled, crib...she just screams after a minute or two.
I am personally against cosleeping just out of fear that i could harm my daughter however thats the only way she has gotten a wink of sleep at night for the past 4 weeks. Part of me wonders if i should just let her cry herself to sleep but everything i read recommends not doing that with infants. Its so confusing to me. Any other recommendations or advice would be welcome.

Have you tried a co-sleeper bassinet? My SIL recommended we get one for when our kiddo is being a big cuddle bug. She's in bed with you but in her own space, and you can tuck an arm in with her so you're still sort-of holding her.
