@knitmama I live in Oklahoma and as of Nov 1st, 2015 children must be rear facing until they are 2 and in a booster seat until they are 8. No weight/height listings, strictly age. I know it's different in every state, but that's the new laws in Oklahoma.
My UO has to do with Bump Ettiquette.... I know that its against the rules to post a pregnancy test other than the one board where they allow it, but I don't get the whole freak out when someone unknowingly does so (I'm not saying when they do it to ask if their pregnant bc that is silly) but those that post to say look what I got! Like, bragging about their BFP not knowing its against the rules & everyone freaks on them that OMG YOU PEED ON THAT I DONT WANNA SEE IT... like, we all took a bunch of them, its not like its offensive to see. Idk... I just think everyone needs to take a chill pill, I don't find them offensive, maybe I'm the weirdo!
Because posting a pee stick on TTGP is mean. That's why.

@ButterMyBiscuit I still drink coffee too. Yay for an iced Carmel macchiato! Yum! I'm more relaxed this time around. I don't really have an UO, I guess mine would be I turned DD forward facing before she is 2.
That is not a UP, but A FFFC. However, it is dangerous and will be illegal is most states soon.

I haven't heard anything about the law changing- do you have a link? In CA, it changed fairly recently and it's based on height and weight, not age.
We had no choice but to turn DD around and 18 months. She was too tall for the infant seat even though she was still under the weight limit and it wasn't safe - poor head protection. We bought the Graco4ver to make sure we could keep her rear-facing, but the seat is too large for my car and would be unsafe in that position because it would be incorrectly installed. So she's forward facing. My pediatrician fully agreed that it was much safer to install the seat correctly forward-facing than try to use the incorrectly installed or too-small rear-facing one.
That said, I would totally judge someone who turned a LO forward for no other reason than they just wanted to, rather than doing it for safety reasons. ------------------------------------------------- This is why we moved her. We bought a new car seat and she was rear facing. Then DS started school and had to be on the passenger side. We had to move her to the driver side and forward face her because my husband couldn't fit and drive if she was rear facing. The seat was too big. My DS is 6 and still in a five point harness car seat. I know how important car seat safety is but when you don't have a choice.. Plus it worked for us. She turns two in less then a month and only has been forward facing for 2 1/2 months.
I think ff your child before 2 is the worst decision you can make, internal decapitation is a real issue even in a small accident. Your child's spine hasn't fused yet and the spinal cord is shorter than the movement your child has. Age is the only thing that determines how hard and fused your spine is. It's something like 500x safer for your child to be rear facing! If the car seat didn't fit you should have tried it before you bought, yes places let you do that. Legs that touch the back seat is no excuse as children are way more flexible than us. There are seats that rear face until very tall and a high weight. No excuses.

It didn't really matter what seat we got. I have a tiny car and all of the convertible car seats would be too big. We can't yet afford a new car. Keeping her in the infant seat would not have provided her any head/neck protection because she was too tall and her head was not aligned in the seat properly. Nothing to do with her feet hitting the seat. Rear facing is always best if it's possible. She is much safer in a correctly installed and fitting seat than one that doesn't fit. She is within the weight and height recommendations for how the seat is positioned.

We tried the car seat because she was rear facing. But she was behind the passenger side and it fit. It doesn't fit behind the driver side rear facing if my husband is driving. I can't afford a new car or a new car seat. The one we bought was like $250. And I couldn't put the two car seats next to each other, they don't fit properly. I guess we will just have to disagree on this issue.
My UO is that I support dog breeding in certain circumstances and my next dog will be from a breeder, and eventually I would love to breed my own dogs. I compete with dogs, have very specific uses for my dogs (along with being very well loved pets), and associate with like minded and responsible breeders. I hate that the good ones that carefully plan their annual (if that) litter that has homes lined up years before they're born get lumped in with the ones selling their parvo ridden puppies for $100 each to whomever can hand them the money the fastest or sending them off to pet shops. HUGE difference.

Internal decapitation aside, did someone say they didn't like puppies?
That was me I know, I'm a monster.
I love kittens, if that redeems me at all. And I can appreciate puppies from a distance or when visiting friends and family, I just never want to own one!

@Puddles03 Yay! So cute. I would totally get another kitten, but we have 2 cats and DH told me any more and I'll be venturing too close to crazy cat territory. Spoil sport.
@FiancB I should have put that for mine!! For shame, we bought 2 dogs & I feel like I have to explain our allergy situation every time I tell someone about my boys.

I'm with you on this. We bought a Yorkie from a reputable breeder that does show their dogs and retires them from breeding after a certain amount of litters. Also, if they're trying to go small they use a small male and a normal to larger female. Our Yorkie is amazing!! he's beautiful with a great personality and is not yappy at all!! He barks at the door bell but hat's about it.
Our other dog wasnt form the pound but was rescued because someone hit her mother with a car when the mom was still pregnant. She was $250 just so the vet could recoop some of the costs of the surgeries and things.
if you can find the dog of your dreams form the pound or a rescue, go for it!! If you cant, find a breeder that is reputable.

That, and rescues don't always know what they're talking about. There is more and more evidence out there that early spay/neuter hurts bone development and increases risks for injury later in life. Not a big deal in the average dog, but it is for athletes. But god forbid you make a request that your pet not be spayed/neutered right away, no matter how careful you plan on being. So in the future, I will always have a rescue in the house too, but I want my "serious dog" to have come from a breeder that raised them on good food, socialized them, and held off on the spay/neuter.
Try to tell that to people though and it's like
