Admitted to OB at 18w6d

So I thought I was having Braxton Hicks all day....uterus kept getting hard as a rock and all I felt was tightening. No biggie, its been doing that for weeks. After a few hours of this I started feeling pressure. A few hours later it was time to go to work for my 7p to 7a shift. By 7:30 i was cramping what turned into basically one long cramp from then until 0100.

When i went to the bathroom there was membranous tissue and pink streaking. By 0200 I walked out of work and stopped by the house to let my dogs out. By 0300 i was in the ER. By 0330 I was having an ultrasound and doppler and pelvic. Baby's heartbeat is kickass, he's moving up a storm BUT my cervix is open. By 0400 I was wheeled down to and admitted to Labor and Delivery and hooked up to that nifty belly monitor which, my nurse explained to me, shows I am having legit contractions.

I am now waiting for the ultrasound techs to come do an official ultrasound and then i suppose from there my dr will decide whether or not we need to sew me up. For now, my bed is slightly trendelenburged (head towards the floor) to fight gravity and keep my baby inside.

I was so nervous I didn't even go to the right er, so i have a new doctor for all this.
