Waiting for first af post d&c and going insane

It has been 5 weeks and 3 days since my d&c. I had a little red spotting 10 days ago, now brown discharge started 3 days ago (a day after I had accupuncture, coincidence?). I am so crabby and have had pms symptoms for over a week now. I feel like the emotional effects of the loss have subsided a whole lot, and now im just distracted by my body not doing what its supposed to.

Anyone on the same boat, waiting?

My first AF post D&C was extremely light (you could have called it spotting) although back when I was on BC that was pretty common for me, my second AF was a doozy! Is it possible the spotting was AF?

I haven't been waiting as long as you; I'm 2.5 weeks past my d&c. Definitely ready for things to return to normal though. I'm sure it's frustrating.

I'm just at the start of my wait. Its been a little over a week since I miscarried at home. My body seemed to be getting back on track so I figured I would get AF at the beginning of December. Now I have a fever/bug so I have a feeling that will delay my first ovulation, which in turn will delay my first AF. I too am emotionally pretty good but frustrated with my body.

@crob5685 I hope it isn't af, wouldn't that mean my body isn't really healing properly if I didn't get a lining? I've been taking a multivitamin women's health, Alive! brand, and also CoQ10. Have also been walking every day. Just hoping a real af comes soon. My periods have never been light.

Yeah, I've heard conflicting things some say their first was super light some say super heavy. My first was really light and I had to wait 14 weeks for that. But just finished my second and it was the heaviest I've ever had. Things can just be really weird for a few cycles.

Hi @javagg, I am so sorry for your loss, my first AF after d&c came 6 weeks after my d&c/5 weeks after I stopped bleeding. Hang in there it will come. Also, as PPs have said it may be light, but should be more than spotting.

I am going through my second d&c and waiting for AF now too, so I know how anxious you can get (although I am only 2 weeks post). This time we need to wait two cycles since they are doing testing over that period, I am going to learn to be patient one way or another. Ugh!

@klauerinaking thanks for sharing. Even though it feels like an eternity of waiting, I try to tell myself that it's such a short time in my life that soon it will be over and a distant memory. Good luck with your wait. Think to the future!
