I'm 11w4d along and we just got pictures done so we can announce it officially/have nice holiday cards and memories and the pictures are ready and I wasn't expecting them until Friday! They're already ordered and will be in their way soon.
I am SO excited to "officially" announce it (I've been a martial arts instructor for 8 years at the and dojo and have tons of families and students that I care about!) at work.
I guess my question is, should I announce Friday (12w1d) or I was initially going to wait until Monday (not that big of a difference, I know)? Ahhhh the excitement is killing me!

<<<<<<TRIGGER WARNING!!!!!>>>>>>
Last pregnancy we were very unfortunately surprised to find that though the baby was kicking around in there with a great heartbeat, she had severe cystic hygroma (fluid all around her body and some inside her body), which led them to believe it was a chromosomal abnormality. After a CVS and horrible long weekend we found out our baby had Turner's syndrome which combined with the severe hygroma meant 0% change of survival with so many problems at that early time.
Turner's is a fluke... nothing to do with age, etc. Just a one-off, bad luck thing, so we're hopeful for this new baby.
Sorry for the novel....
Needless to say, we are hesitant to make a "public" announcement until we know this baby is healthy, and safe and sound.
Our family knows and our good friends, but it's too painful to talk about with people who aren't close if god forbid something goes wrong this time, so we'll wait.
2nd Pregnancy: BFP 10/8/15; EDD 6/21/16
Ultimately it's your baby, your life and your decision. That's just what I would wait for. (You can hear it on a Doppler as early as 9 weeks, sometimes a little later)
My students don't know yet so no one had been coddling me, I've just been hyper aware of my body and smart about partner choices. I'm sure once people know it'll change how they work with me and I'm okay with that, especially once I get bigger!
Oh and yes, I'm a FTM!
I do feel better about announcing before the "proper/normal" 13 weeks now.
I will be doing a public Facebook announcement, especially because I have a "work" Facebook that a lot of my students/parents of students are on.
Thanks for the advice!

We told parents and a few siblings already. (I have nine brothers and sisters, it's hard to sync up with them all) We have Christmas pictures scheduled for this Wednesday, and plan to make Christmas cards to announce to the rest of family and friends. I think I will probably mail those out around the second week of December. I'll be about 15 weeks then. I'm excited and I feel like this has been a secret FOREVER, but I really wanted to do Christmas cards!
