38 Week Growth Check

So I am totally freaking out.  I had my 38 growth ultrasound today and they estimated baby boy weighs 9 lbs 14 ounces!  My first son was 6 lbs 11 ounces and it was a smooth delivery! 

Anyone else have one tiny baby and one huge baby???

The ultrasounds can be off a pound or more either way. My guess is he will be smaller than they think. That's what happened with me

I know how you feel...i have twins and at 36 wweeks they are estimated at 7lbs 11oz and 6lbs 5 oz. They say they could each gain maybe over a pound more...i am carrying alot of baby lol..but yes they can wrong..my sister pushed out a 10.5 pounder and he is now 4 and still huge! Sounds like you have a nice healthy baby. Try not to worry...he is coming no matter what!

I would take it with a grain of salt. They say they can be off by plus or minus a pound but with my best friend they were off by two pounds ... said her baby would be 8.5lbs and he was 6.5lbs. And PP is right ... that says nothing for head circumference which is really the only measurement that matters. You could just have a tall baby which won't change the birthing process much at all.
