How did your appointment go overall? Really good, got my labwork back and the Dr said I'm very healthy and pregnancy is progressing well. She said my uterus was definitely enlarged which means there's definitely a baby in there! Only concern was I briefly had symptoms of a bladder infection on Saturday so she wanted me to give a 2nd urine sample to check that out even if I wasn't still experiencing symptoms.

Any ultrasound or doppler? Heard Lil Sprout's heartbeat, a strong 156! Made me pretty happy!

Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? Was there anything you wanted to bring up but forgot?
She answered all my questions, including when to get my flu shot (got it today) and about the whooping cough vaccine.

How did your appointment go overall? 

On Monday we had a level 11 ultrasound. Our first ultrasound showed that the baby had a midgut herniation at 10 weeks. This is a completely normal part of fetal development.  My obgyn seemed very concerned about it which got me worried.  The baby had it's leg in the way of the cord so they did a vaginal ultrasound to get a better view of the area. Thankfully the herniation was no longer present.

This was the first time we heard the heartbeat too! 155

How accurate do you think it is to tell sex at this stage of development? The tech asked us if we wanted to know the sex and we said yes but it sure seemed early!

Any ultrasound or doppler? The doctor found the heartbeat right away, it was 159 bpm.

Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? Was there anything you wanted to bring up but forgot?  The only question I had was about some pain I've been having in my butt.  Doctor said it could be sciatica which makes me nervous.  I am only 15 weeks!!!  How am I already having sciatic nerve pain?!

How far along are you?  16 -17 weeks . . . US tech from last month insists I am due April 24th. OB still insists I am due May 2nd. . . I am pretty sure I ovulate very early in my super short cycle so I think I'm closer to the techs date.

How did your appointment go overall? Quick-ish with some scares explained in the next question.

Any Ultrasound or doppler? Well the OB was trying to get the baby's heartbeat and it took her several minutes. She suddenly got a concerned look and asked "you haven't had any bleeding have you?" I had some spotting days before but the nurse I called said to ignore it unless it came back or i had cramps. I told her that and she kept looking for what seemed like an eternity! My eyes were beginning to fill with tears as I thought "I knew this was all too good to be true" and then suddenly she found the beat. DH was sitting in a chair around the corner so I couldn't see him till I sat up but he heard the whole exchange . . .his eyes were red too. 

Did your doctor answer any questions or concerns you had? Was there anything you wanted to bring up that you forgot? I forgot to ask for follow up on my hip pain/numbness. I also forgot to ask about baths. She initially said no hot baths but I wasn't sure about warm ones. I really could use some relaxing bath time.

Appointment went awesome this week!

I am 16 weeks and 2 days.

I had my 16 week ultrasound last night and someone had their legs wideeee open showing off the fact that he is a boy! I knew it deep down for a while, but yesterday confirmed my feelings! My bf was absolutely ecstatic! We heard the heartbeat which was 156, and he is weighing in at 6 ounces. Everything looks great

I had no questions this time, but my bf did ask if he swallows his own poop and pee lol.

How did your appointment go overall? Good! I had an OB appointment and an NT scan.

Any ultrasound or doppler? Yes to both. We got to see our little bean moving all around and we got to hear the heartbeat twice.

Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? Was there anything you wanted to bring up but forgot? I didn't have any questions to ask, but now that I think about it I had a few I should have asked and didn't. This is why I need to write things down! lol

Are you doing anything that is helping?  My doctor just said to rest and sit on a heating pad.  Just wondering if there was anything else.

How did your appointment go overall?
My appointment was great. I got my flu shot today which I wasn't planning on but the doctor talked me into it.

Any ultrasound or doppler?
The doctor attempted to hear the heartbeat with the Doppler but she couldn't find it.. Slight panic attack.. She said this happens this early in pregnancy due to either the baby still being behind the pelvic bone or the cord being in the way. This did happen at the same time with DS so I wasn't freaking out too much. They did an u/s right away and there LO was bouncing away with a heartbeat of 143!

I did ask if we could schedule the anatomy scan during my next appointment which I'd be 18w3d. She said not until the 20th week.
I also asked about my restless leg pains. She told me to drink more water and that I'm probably dehydrated.. Hopefully that works!

How did your appointment go overall? It went great! Learned that our little man is growing perfectly!

Any ultrasound or doppler? Doppler. They were able to find his heartbeat right away. It was thumping along at 150bpm!

Any ultrasound or doppler? Healthy heartbeat at 138. It took a minute to find it then lose it , find it and lose it again. She is moving around in there. There was a loud different kind of noise and he said that the sound was a kick

Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? Was there anything you wanted to bring up but forgot? I asked about my frequent headaches and how much weight I should gain- the typical 25-30lbs.  Ive only gained 2 lbs. so far.

How did your appointment go overall? Really well. I gained 7 pounds since my last appointment- ahhh!

Yes, the OB agreed to tie my tubes after the birth and examined the varicose veins on my leg. I got the "ok" to get my hair highlighted, too. She also went over my blood test results (thyroid meds were doubled!) and told me my Harmony test came back low risk. She thought it was funny that I was hitting her up for clues on the baby's sex but didn't want to find out until the birth. She warned me that she is a bad liar so I shouldn't ask her anymore lol. I'm not sure being team green is for us but I'm going to try my hardest!

How did your appointment go overall? Good. Pretty uneventful. Checked the heartbeat, my uterus, blood pressure, urine. All is good. Oh and got my blood done for the 2nd trimester screening. 

Any ultrasound or doppler? Doppler. Heard the loud, strong heartbeat.

Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? Was there anything you wanted to bring up but forgot? I finally got to see the Dr who I want to do my repeat C section. We obviously can't schedule it until closer to the due date. I found out she mostly works out of the hospital further from us. But she sounded pretty accommodating and said we'll try to work something out at the closer hospital.

How did your appointment go overall?
Overall it went well.  Today was our first trimester screening/NT Scan thingy.  Our baby was super wiggly and gave the tech a hard time in trying to measure the fold on the neck.   Soon as baby was in right position, it would move right when she tried to capture the picture to measure.   We saw it move it's tiny hand/arm up to its face.  Super wiggly/squirmy baby!   Can't wait to feel him/her squirm.
Only bad part of the appt is the doctor looked at my blood sugar numbers which were in the 100's, but still too high for her tastes.  Granted, my numbers are really really really good compared to earlier in pregnancy when they were in the upper 200s to lower 300s.  But they are still too high for her.  One of the problems I am having is I'm still having an aversion to most vegetables.  I can eat fruit, protein, and carbs.  Of course fruit are carbs too.  So the carb thing does not help even though it is a healthy carb option.  
At first she wanted to put me in the hospital for 48hours on an insulin drip in order to determine how much insulin I would need.  But after I explained the problem of only being able to eat certain things still, she upped my dosage of my metformin from 1000mg a day to 2000.  I have to go back Wednesday with my numbers and if she still does not like it, then I will be hospitalized on Black Friday and Saturday.   I understand it is for the baby.  But I HATE hospitals with a passion.

She is letting me stay on my progesterone for a little longer just because I want to (it will NOT hurt the baby in any way),  yet she did not write me out a new script.  I'll ask for it next week.   I've just read too many stories of women going off of progesterone and then miscarrying afterwards b/c the placenta did not do its job.  I have high anxiety and that freaks me out big time.

How did your appointment go overall?
We had the nt screening done and it went well. It was so fun to see the little one moving around and looking like a baby. So happy our tech gave us quite a few pictures. Our little one was measuring four days ahead!

@AnastasiaBeaverhausen09 I am feeling some pains in my right butt too. Also worried it's sciatica. Urgggg my mom has it and it sounds horrible! Hopefully it does away for you.

I also have sciatica pain going down the right side of my butt and down my leg. It'll last for a little while and then it'll go away. When it happens it sucks! It's not too early for it to happen, my gf who is pregnant has it too.

@nerdymama15 I hope you don't have to be hospitalized. Fingers crossed.

I have an appointment in a half an hour and I need to talk about pain I've been having in my left abdomen that's freaking me out. I've been pregnant before and it doesn't feel like round ligament pain or stretching so I'm worried something is wrong.

How did your appointment go overall? Short and sweet.  Had blood drawn for AFP test that my MFM will review with the anatomy scan.

Any ultrasound or doppler? Doppler, heard the little heart beating away at 156!

Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? Was there anything you wanted to bring up but forgot? I forgot to ask if having elevated AFP levels last pregnancy would mean it would likely happen again this time.  I don't think it works like that, but I'll probably look it up online before my next appointment so I know what to expect.

I'm 15w4d

My appointment went well. I was concerned about pain in my left side. It's where I carry my daughter and the midwife thinks its muscular/skeletal. She thinks I hurt the muscle and it can't heal because I'm constantly bending over and lifting my daughter. I need to keep a close eye on it, especially after I eat, to rule out gallstones or pancreatitis. Other than that everything was great. Blood pressure low and baby's heartbeat is strong.

Anatomy scan at next appointment December 18th! The bad news is it's with the only doctor in my practice I don't like.

She answered all my questions and I'm feeling good.

How far along are you? 15w 4d (thought my due date was May 11...It's the 10th.)

How did your appointment go overall? Good. I was so nervous bc I was farty and kept accidentally letting some out in the small exam room. DH was making fun saying the doctor was coming in when he wasn't. I couldn't help it and the extra anxiety of smelling up the room was making me toot more!

Any ultrasound or doppler? HB 144 no US but will for sex reveal Dec 23rd (woot woot)

Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? Was there anything you wanted to bring up but forgot? I was scared I wasn't pg anymore for some reason. Doc said it's normal and he thinks everything is fine. My watery discharge is from a low cervix (bc I've given birth before). I am feeling movement and now have to be aware of how much I feel movement per docs orders.

My sciatic pain started at like 12 weeks! I'm just about 17 weeks now and thank goodness it only last about a week and a half. My doc said the same thing about the heating pads and to try to avoid sleeping on the side with the pain. Good luck ladies!
