IUI #1 5mg Femara + trigger = BFN

IVF #1, Stimmed for 12 days, ER 8/22/14, 9 retrieved, 7M, 7F!!  Freeze all due to fluid in uterus.
FET end of October 2014 cancelled due to fluid in uterus due to possible c-scar defect
Surgery scheduled 12/12/14 to fix possible isthmocele
3/26/15 transferred one 8 cell grade 4 embryo and one 6 cell grade 3 embryo = slow rising betas for 2+ weeks = ectopic MTX shot 4/29/15
Repeat c-scar surgery June 2015
2nd and last IVF cycle August 2015, stimmed for 12 days, 2 egg retrieved, both mature and both fertilized.  Transferred both 8-cell embryos on Day 3, beta 9/5/15 = BFFN
MOVING TO ADOPTION!

    I had a totally shitty crap-tastic week last week :(  Sorry I missed the check-in last week.  I got a BFP on a FRER and digi last Sunday, beta on Monday was 28, and on Wednesday 5 so chemical pregnancy.  I had so much grad school work to get done and we were staying at a hotel since we were re-doing our hardwood floors, so basically last week SUCKED for me.  DH was bit of an ass too because he is so stressed about work and not very supportive so we're not really speaking to each other.  So I don't really know what the plan is from here.  We are 100% on board for adoption, and thought that TTC on our own until we're matched with a birth family was a good idea, but I'm pretty sure my heart and soul can't go through this shit anymore....and then my RE called and was so supportive and my biggest cheerleader.  He said he's had women have success with much less chance than I have so if I wanted to continue to try on my own he thinks we have a chance.  I have to think about it some more....


    QOTW:  I am an excellent hula hooper!

    @frenchteachermama I am so sorry about your bad week.  All of this is so hard but it will make us stronger in the end.  But i can only imagine what a bad week it was.

    As for me my week was fine. My IUI was last monday so I am 1 week down of the 2 week wait.  The IUI went fine I guess although my husbands sperm numbers were lower than the past but still above what the dr wants to see.  I had acupuncture on Saturday so hopefully he did whatever he can to help things.  I am just trying to stay busy now until next weeks beta

    QOTW:  I don't have any special talents..can't think of much special about myself..does being a lefty count as special??

    Had our first appointment with RE this week! Hubby set up 3 collections in the coming weeks, I'm scheduled for day 3 testing on Wednesday, and then I will start birth control. IVF process will officially begin in January, with implantation in February! So excited to have a plan in the works!!

    QOTW: I can sing with my mouth closed! :) it sounds like there's a little man stuck in there!

    Can I check-in if I just intro'd today? Haha! Ok. I am in the middle of my 1st "break" cycle in a long time. It feels good to not constantly be thinking about ttc. I am focusing on my health & am down about 8 pounds since 10/27. I am hoping to lose about 20 before our next anticipated IUI in January. Something special about myself? I give pretty good back rubs. Is that considered a talent? Lol.

    @Frenchteachermama - so sorry to hear about your crappy week. It's so hard when you're at odds with DH... this whole thing can be so stressful, and then everyday normal stresses like work on top of that... it's not uncommon that it puts a strain on the relationship. I know it does with mine! I hope you're able to work through it quickly, and that you find some answers in terms of whether to keep TTC or just focus on the adoption. Either way, wishing the best for you!

    @Rachlee2010 - I hope the second week of your tww goes quickly for you!

    Cycle Status: CD6, started 100mg of Clomid on CD3, go in for monitoring this Friday. Feeling less doomsday-ish than I was last week, but admittedly not going into this cycle with nearly as much hope and optimism as I did the last two. Trying to eat better and exercise more... and failing miserably. Putting on weight when I really should be losing... ::sigh::

    @Frenchteachermama-- I am so sorry for such a terrible week.  I really hope your adoption process goes smoothly!  Thinking of you.

    Sending prayers and FX to everyone else on your cycles and TWW!!!

    My past 2 weeks have been pretty awful... I was laid off from my job, then 2 days later at my son's birthday party my husband majorly sprained his ankle and completely tore the ligament-- and then IVF started.  All in all... just crap everywhere I look.  I am on Day 4 of my IVF meds-- I went in for BW and ultrasound this morning and they said that nothing is growing so far and my estrogen levels haven't really moved.  They gave me the old "it's still really early" but I already feel discouraged.  So, that's me... 

    QOTW:  I do really good impressions of people and I have an insane memory (not sure if that is a talent-- but you can never lie to me because I remember everything).  I would also like to add that I am impressed by all of your talents.

    @GK2009 - HUGE hugs to you. I'm sorry the past couple of weeks have been so craptastic. Hope things start looking up from here!

    So, much to my utter surprise and shock, at my US this morning, my RE takes one look, measures a follie, looks at me and says "Do you have your Ovidrel with you? This follicle is ready to go. We should do your IUI tomorrow morning."

    HUH??? It's only CD10! My last two cycles my follies weren't even in the double digits yet by CD10. Wiiiieeerrrrd. Luckily they had some extra Ovidrel in the office, because mine isn't due to arrive until later today. So I triggered right there and then, and my third IUI is tomorrow morning bright and early!  I'm just relieved that I don't have to worry about ovulating on Thanksgiving... ;)

    Love hearing all of the stories! I'm back to seeing my fertility clinic. Can I be added?
    We decided to try clomid 50mg since it worked last time and my tests showed no change from 3 years ago when we went through the process (yay! Still unexplained!) but hoping to skip IUI. I'm at CD 16 and should ovulate in the next two days but this cycle isn't looking promising as I only have 1 follicle (and never get pregnant with just 1 - I know it only takes 1 but I guess for my body 2=1). They are already talking about upping it to 100 mg next month. Good luck ladies!

    Thanks- I am doing a bit better.  I am already on the highest medicine dose my clinic allows.. but today my hormone level went up to 429 and they said I have 3 growing follicles on my left side.  I go back on Monday for my next check-up.  I feel a little more hopeful today...
    Good luck to everyone!!!  I will keep you posted.
