From Canada travelling to states with baby what do you need?

My baby is 8 weeks and we are thinking of going to grand forks in dec or January what documentation do you need at the border for a baby to cross. Obviously they don't require a passport do they?

I believe all they need is a birth certificate - I was looking because we live in Detroit and want to visit Canada soon!

This exactly, it all depends if you fly Or drive. We got DS a passport when he was a few months old because we travelled frequently and it was just easier. For infants passport photos, you can leave them in the car seat as long as there is a white blanket or sheet behind them.

FYI you can sign your babe up for a free Nexus card so you can cross any border to the states with them easily. It's good until they are 18.
