1 positive and 3 negatives

I woke up this morning and had a little brown discharge.  Thinking that it might be implantation bleeding, I decided to take a pregnancy test.  It came out positive.  I followed it with 3 more tests which were all negative.  My husband and I were really excited...but now I don't want to get my hopes up.  Thoughts?

Some tests are more sensitive than others, plus they work best with your first pee of the morning. Take a pink one tomorrow morning. There's nothing else that we can tell you.

If you're still super early with testing, you need to test with first morning urine as it will have the highest amount of hcg levels in it to be detected by a test. I suggest waiting a few days and taking another test first thing in the morning.

Your body doesn't produce a detectable level of hcg (pregnancy hormone aka what turns a test positive) until a couple days after implantation. So if you truly did have implantation bleeding then your test should be positive in a few more days, not right away.

This. Doctors blood tests cant even pick up hCG for 2-3 days, let alone a home test.

Was it blue dye? That's happened to me with a bum blue dye test.

Did you read the first test in the appropriate time limit? If you read after you are supposed to throw away you can get ghost lines or gray evaps that can look like positives.

Was an it FRER curved handle (the new design)? I've had indent and evap lines on that brand and design look like positives. I've even had them be pink because the indent trapped some dye. All my follow ups on different brands have been negative.

HPT hell happens. I hope you can get a clear answer soon. (I'm in your same boat this cycle)

It was actually a digital with a very clear yes.  However, with so many negatives afterwards, I'm not getting my hopes up.  I did a little research and learned some of the above information, such as not being able to get a positive immediately after implantation bleeding.  I was supposed to start my cycle on Saturday, and it hasn't happened yet.  So, I'm going to wait until this Saturday and test one more time.

I had a positive test on the day my period was due, 28 days after the first day of my last period and 16 days after the baby dance.  This was followed by spotting the following day; however, I am most certainly pregnant.  I would suggest you test again in a few days and, if the test is positive, don't make yourself crazy - just call your doc and make an appointment. If it was a digital then you should be good? Pick up some more tests & try again in the morning.

So I went to take another test (another digital) this morning and apparently didn't have to pee as bad as I thought.  I thought that maybe (MAYBE!) I got a drop of urine on the test.  I decided to put it up and try again later, thinking that I didn't get anything on the test.  I came back a half hour later, looked at the test - YES+.  Seriously?!?!  My husband refuses to let me buy any more tests...haha...go figure.  Guess I'll be calling the dr. to get a definite answer.

Usually if you look at it 30 minutes later it isn't accurate, but since that is a yes or no one (I didn't know those existed) it might be right. I'd definitely go to the dr though. Good luck!
