Vaccine Fever

2 month old baby got his vac today. The doc told me a fever up to 104 is normal when getting vaccinated. This scared me! So far baby has a 100.4, 12 hours after shots. Anyone else heard up to 104 is normal? Kinda freaks me out! He also said no Tylenol, that it can do more harm than good

No I've never been told that a fever up to 104 is normal or even ok for a baby.

100.4 isn't bad and most likely from the vaccine. I'd give the Pedi's office a call to ease your worries though.

Ya that seems off. My pedi recommends against Tylenol before shots as it could mask a reaction that could cause more harm later, but. I've always been told to give Tylenol post shots if needed.

My pedi told me up to 102 is possible and to give Tylenol as needed but not just around the clock.

104 seems awfully high. Are you sure the doc didn't say 100.4? 100.4 or higher in a young baby is a concern although it most likely has to do with his shots.
