Has anyone ever heard the sicker you are, the healthier you are? I have never heard that and my boss keeps saying that to me. I am almost 9 weeks and have had no morning sickness at all. I consider myself a fairly healthy person, so am a little confused by what she's saying.

Essentially, if the baby is pumping out a ton of hCG, that means that they are growing well and the pregnancy is progressing. If something is wrong, hCG increases less rapidly and doesn't cause as many, if any symptoms. That being said, 15% of women don't seem to respond to hCG increases with morning sickness and that's totally normal for them (my mom was one of them and I'm obviously okay).
In the end, to me, it seems very similar to the "it's good luck for it to rain on your wedding day", it's an attempt to make people feel better about a kind of crappy situation.
My close friend had zero morning sickness or cravings and went on to have a very healthy little girl. She's currently 11 weeks, healthy, and cute as a button!

Haha if I had any doubt I was still pregnant, the nausea definitely confirms I am. There's a plus...not really LOL
When I was pregnant with my first, I had a cushy desk job and played WoW and ate pizza in my free time. Not healthy at all. I ended up so sick I missed a lot of work and ended up in the hospital a few times.
This time around, I was running 4 miles per day and eating healthy when I conceived. I'd consider myself healthy. Still really sick.
