7 weeks -- feel miserable

I'm trying not to complain since this is a very wanted baby, but I've just hit 7 weeks and I am absolutely miserable. Nausea seemed to come on overnight. I'm not vomiting but I just feel so lousy and strange. I'm also weirdly feeling really scared about all of this. I have my first pre-natal visit later this afternoon, maybe that will help ease some of my worries. Any other ladies here feeling similar?

Re: 7 weeks -- feel miserable

  • I've had nausea on and off and a vomited a couple times the past couple weeks, but I woke up this morning and just like you today I hit my 7 week mark and feel miserable. Before, eating, chewing gum, or preggie pops would help, but now nothing is touching it. It's nice to know I'm not the only one miserable. It's hard to describe to people that have never been through it, including my husband. I was reading that morning sickness means that your hormones are still raising which is really good because that means baby is growing. Just keep telling myself that this won't kill me and I just have to take it one day at a time and hopefully it'll pass in the next couple weeks.

  • I feel you. I just hit 8 weeks today and have been very sick for a while, but the exhaustion has really ramped up too. No one knows I'm pregnant so I just sort of keep to my self and pretend to be ok...it's a bummer. With my first I had a lot of fear and anxiety too. I ended up seeing a counselor for most of my pregnancy just to have someone to talk to and help work through all the fear. I also saw a midwife rather than my doctor because I felt like I needed a lot more time and gentle care with how scared I was feeling. Both really helped. If at all possible I'd definitely recommend it!
  • I am feeling the same way you guys are. This is my second pregnancy. I am using sea bands and it is helping me. My friend (this is her first pregancy) told me to try them. I didn't have this during my first. It is the weirdest thing I have ever felt. The sea bands can be found at any store including Walgreens, target, etc.

  • I was naseous one and off from 1/2 way through week 5 but week 7 definitely was an uptick in severity of symptoms, namely a daily morning date with my toilet to puke. I keep telling myself its reassuring to have some sort of indication that I am actually pregnant but it isn't exactly working...hope everyone feels better soon!
  • Thanks for sharing, everyone. Sending love and warm thoughts to you all.
  • You ladies are amazing. I just hit my 9 week mark and these crazy dreams started up. (As if I wasn't tired already...) Sending lots of anti-nausea thoughts your way.
