Re: TTCAL weekly check-in 11/9
GTKY: we have a shortlist of meals that we make regularly. DH does 99% of the cooking, and he is great at improvising so I'll often pick up a meat from the grocery store on my way home and he'll figure something out to do with it. One of our favorite recipes though is one for lime chicken tacos - pulled chicken and beans, lime juice, etc. An easy crock pot meal and so yummy!

We don't cook that much but when we do we make a Chinese dish pork spareribs in a black bean sauce and sweet and sour cabbage.
We definitely have our go to meals. Fajitas and spaghetti bolognaise are probably the most frequent.

3. GTKY: what is one of the most frequently prepared meals in your house? Tacos. We just make ground beef with green chiles and taco seasoning for the meat. Then I stand the taco shells up in a baking dish and put a little cheese in the bottom, then the meat and then a little more cheese and bake them at 400 for 15 minutes. Then you add your toppings after they bake. They are so much better than when I used to just put the meat in the shell with cold shredded cheese!

3. GTKY: what is one of the most frequently prepared meals in your house? It varies I love cooking so we go through phases. Right now, I'm making a lot of risotto and yummy fatty things like that. This obviously can't last but I've been having zero will power since we got the news of our loss.
3. We have steak almost once a week. DH can grill a mean filet, and we stalk the sales papers to stock up on them when they're on sale. Lately we've had grilled veggies from our garden with them. It's November, and I'm still picking a few veggies. The warm fall weather makes the heat of Alabama summers worth it!

I usually get home too late to cook but when I do I love using the vegetti to make zucchini pasta with sautéed tomatoe sauce and Parmesan cheese with a little mozzarella broiled on top in a casserole dish . So filling and it almost makes me not miss pasta !
