We feed, usually 20 min each side and then she dozes off but I can't (or anyone) get her to burp. She did the first three days home but nothing since... Does anyone else have a non burping baby?
Also we have a check up tomorrow so I am ask our doctor. But I was just curious she's not fussy and she doesn't have gas problems I was just always taught to burp babies mine doesn't deliver
That's not entirely uncommon for breastfed babies. This is my 4th and only the first (who nursed for about 45 minutes each time) needed to burp. The others were more efficient eaters and never expressed discomfort after eating, so I stopped trying to force it and they were fine.
Cool, thanks ladies! Im a FTM so this is all so new! I worry about everything... I have a running list of questions for our appt tomorrow just for piece of mind. :P
Someone posted this video in the September 2015 moms forum and I tried it for my little girl and she's finally burping after her feeds and less fussy! Doesn't hurt to give it a try
Re: My baby doesn't burp
This time around, our new little one burps occasionally but not always. And she's a spitter-upper.
I think it's common for BF babies to not need burped. Our breasts contain no air bubbles, unlike bottles. So it's less likely they're swallowing air.
