IUI with Head Cold....Effects?

Hi all. I had my first of two IUIs this morning. Last night after trigger i started getting a runny nose and for the past two nights woke up with a semi sore throat (thought it was due to dry air from heat). Today i just feel like a mess, sneezing and body aches all over. Any idea how this potential head cold could affect the IUIs this cycle, if at all? Any recommendations on handling this cold? Thanks for your support and advice.

I had an IUI while I had a cold/cough (I had it for about a week and was slowly starting to get better).  My RE was not concerned, and the nurses said it was fine to keep taking Mucinex, but of course I would check with your doc about whatever particular medicines you want to take, if any.  GL and feel better!

Last time it happened to me, I avoided all cold medication (except a little baby aspirin, when my head hurt a lot), and just sipped a lot of warm broth (I'm also avoiding tea and coffee). 

Ultimately, I discovered that cold medication doesn't do all that much.  It helps some symptoms, but makes other symptoms worse (drying out parts that shouldn't dry out).  I'd heard of weathering colds with no antihistamine or decongestant, so your body can fight the virus the way it's supposed to, and I think that in the future, even when not TTC, I'll try that (at least with mild head colds).
