I'm 40 and FTM of 9 week old. DH is 46. Want a sibling for DH but if we got pregnant soon DH will then be 48. Curious if there are many older dads here too.

My DH is 46 as well and wants a sibling already for baby and I'm only 24 wks and will be 41 when baby born.

 @kira91499 I was thinking the same thing.  I was reading all the posts and thinking "yes, finally a group I won't get side-eyed on".  I am 42 and my BF is 30, he'll be 31 next month.  We are due in June.

Gosh, all you Cougars! I'm 38 and my DH will be 41 next week, but he has a baby face and doesn't look a day over 30 (wish I had those genes!)

I'm 38 and will be 39 in July. SO is going to be 46 in March.  We have a three year old who will turn 4 the day after my EDD.  We're not planning on anymore.  I think if we had started earlier, we would have had three but with age and financial concerns two is the right number for our family.  Actually, if my husband had started much earlier, I think he would have totally been the type of guy who was happy to have six kids.  He had finally accepted the fact that he was never going to get married and have a family and had just purchased a condo that was perfect for a bachelor the month we met.  He was moving in the week I met him.  Surprise!

@alitria My DH did the same thing! He bought a tiny house in another city and moved in the week before our first date. He said it had always been his dream to own a house, and he wasn't going to wait to be married to do it. But we fell for each other quickly and he ended up having to sell and move after less than a year so we could be together. Now, 4 years later we're (hopefully) getting to the point where we can buy a place together so he can live his dream again, but this time with a wife and a newborn

@redheadbride15 I keep telling my husband that the fates have a wicked sense of humor!  He was in the same situation where he felt like he needed to make steps towards being a homeowner and just couldn't wait any longer.  Sadly he did it right before the market crashed and his place lost most than half of its value.  We're stuck there, deep underwater and have looked at foreclosure/short sales but haven't been able to make that step.  In three years, we expect to be in a position where we may need to look at making a pretty big move for my job and don't want to be stuck with another house, so for now, we're all just crammed in to his small two bedroom condo and about to get even cozier in another five months.  Fortunately, having another boy makes things a little easier but I have to admit I cannot WAIT until the day we can buy our first "family home."  At least I don't have to worry about having to keep a big house clean with two little ones and a full time job...lol.

@alitria ugh, that sucks. I'm so nervous about the housing market for exactly that reason. We were really lucky that DH was able to sell his house for slightly more than he paid for it so he almost broke even when you take into account real estate expenses. That was a miracle in my mind given that he sold less than a year after he purchased.
