How are you feeling? Tired, cranky, bloated easily irritated and emotional.

Rants/Raves? Just happy it's Friday. Finally!

GTKY: What are your weekend plans? Since H leaves to go up north hunting tonight and will be gone all weekend, I plan on getting a lot done around the house. I'm re-painting the living room, getting my pictures and wall decorations up, getting started on Christmas gift baskets, and canning some homemade pumpkin filling. Busy busy! Yoga pants, comfy sweatshirts, movies and hot cocoa will also be happening

How are you feeling? Tired at the moment! Seems to come and go in spurts. Still nauseous from time to time and having to force myself to eat so I don't get light headed.

Rants/Raves? Sleep, I want all the sleep! 

GTKY: What are your weekend plans? It's been a crazy busy week and I'd like to just curl up for the weekend, but DH has to work tomorrow, so me and DD1&2 will have to find ourselves some entertainment. Thinking children's museum or something that will tire them out so I can try and get them to bed early!

How are you feeling? 

Meh, just tired. I had some red spotting again this morning (2nd time this week)...so I'm kind of freaking out, as well. I know it can be normal, but I think it's natural to be concerned. 

Rants/Raves?

My Dr's appt yesterday really frustrated me. The way she explained it to me is that I won't see an OB until 35 weeks...WHAT?! She also made some really odd remarks (including asking me if this pregnancy was an accident...again, what?!). So, now I'm going to look into going with a midwife, even though I want a hospital birth...& probably an epidural. My Dr also kept telling me I am 7w5d, & I had to explain numerous times how my cycles were irregular since going off the pill & I know exactly when I ovulated...but she wasn't listening to me. I'm going for a dating u/s today, luckily...an appointment I was able to make on my own. I'm just feeling super frustrated/worried/alone/scared...so many feelings!

GTKY: What are your weekend plans?

I took today off work...I needed a day to myself. It's been a rough week. U/S this afternoon, then probably date night with DH (dinner & a movie). Tomorrow I'm going to visit a friend & her newborn son, clean the house, run some errands, & Sunday we have a family birthday dinner for both my mom & DH. Hopefully there will be lots of time for rest, as well.

@DeePaddy24 Hugs to you. Sorry to hear about the frustrating appt yesterday. Honestly, I would be looking into a new doctor, or midwife like you mentioned. Also, while I haven't experienced any spotting, it's completely normal to be concerned. Did your doctor say anything about it or seem concerned at all? 

Other than that, I hope all goes well at the US today. Take some tome to relax afterwards

@matthewsdm I'm a weird one but I LOVE children's museums. We used to bring my camp kids to them and I just loved seeing them so excited and yes, they would be tired out the rest of the day which was awesome.

@mrsschmity that sounds like an awesome weekend of productivity!

Damn I feel lazy compared to PP! I'm planning on cleaning the kitchen and doing laundry. Other than that, no real plans.

@DeePaddy24: Man, I'm sorry about your doctor being an a-hole! Also, what the hell business is it of theirs whether your pregnancy was planned?! You're pregnant now. The end.

Don't let my productive weekend fool you ladies. If all of that actually gets done, I'll pat myself on the back. And will likely still be passed out on the couch by 7pm after taking 3 naps throughout the day.

How are you feeling? Good still. I think the boob fairy is coming soon. My bras (when I wear one--bonus of teleworking) seem to be tighter. Woohoo! No major MS to speak of, just queasiness in the afternoon.

Rants/Raves? DH and I adopted a new dog! She's a gentle, loving 4 year old German Shepherd, and we get her this afternoon!!! Can't wait. My 2 cats will flip their sh*t at first, but I think they'll settle into the idea soon.

GTKY: What are your weekend plans? Getting to know our new dog, and just snuggling up at home. Maybe go do a short hike to see some fall color.

@sgoldberg247 I really love them too! We have a great one here, our museum center has 3 museums in one plus one of those Imax theaters. It's awesome!

@DeePaddy24 I'd definitely be looking elsewhere too! I switched dr's when I was about 12 weeks with DD1 because I was unhappy and it made a world of difference to go somewhere that was on time and where I felt like they were actually listening to me. Good luck to you!

Thanks @mrsschmity, @crdo, & @matthewsdm. I'm really hoping today goes well so I can have some peace of mind. 

My doctor didn't take my concerns about spotting seriously at all. She didn't give me much time to ask any questions & seemed to be rushing DH & I out. He was the one who brought up the spotting because I was so overwhelmed I wasn't thinking straight. She basically said "go to the ER if it gets bad" & that was it. DH was super pissed when we left & said we need to figure out a different option...a midwife seems to be the best option, I think. And I am going to try to find a new family doctor!

How are you feeling? So sick. I was feeling great yesterday and an eating machine then after dinner got sick. Went to bed and woke up still sick

Rants/Raves? We have our first appointment today so I'm praying everything goes well!

GTKY: What are your weekend plans? My brother turned 16 this week so we're having a family party for him! The only bad part is we have to drive a couple hours away tomorrow so I'm hoping I'm not this sick tomorrow

@DeePaddy24 I'm sorry you had a frustrating appointment and I think it might be a good idea to look for another doctor now rather than being stressed during your pregnancy or doing it much later. Good luck with the dating scan. Yay for seeing little bean!

How are you feeling? A little anxious and a little nauseous

Rants/Raves? My MIL was recently diagnosed with early ALZ and was supposed to move in with us as she can no longer live alone. After getting out ready to put on the market and signing a real estate agent she now is refusing to leave her home 3 hours away and is saying she never said she would come live with us. It's so frustrating and I know it's the desease but she thinks we should leave put careers and move our family to her and dosent see why it's easier for her, one person, no job, to move to us.

GTKY: What are your weekend plans?
Hubby will be working Saturday so hopefully I'll be finishing up packing stuff for the move to a bigger house. His friend will come over later Saturday night and they are smoking a pork shoulder, which is already making me nauseous.

Where's twatwaffle Tuesday when you need it?! Seriously though, I'm glad you're finding a new doctor/midwife. That one seems pretty dismissive and would just be a source of stress versus a source of answers.

@DeePaddy24 that sucks (your doc)! I got some weird questions the first time I went in because I look about 10 years younger than I am and was nervous when I went in for betas because I have a needle phobia. The phlebotomist assumed I was a teenager who accidently got pregnant and started off telling me it was going to be okay and we would take it a step at a time if the test came back positive. Then she looked at my file and realized nope, not 15. Oops! Anyways, I agree that it sounds like a new doctor may be in order. Hope all goes well at your appt today!

@TwoBadMice: I'm sorry to hear about your MILs diagnosis, and the difficulty you're having with getting her moved now. I've had several family members diagnosed with Alzheimer's over the years, and it's a tough road. It's hard when your loved one's behavior is no longer rational. Hugs.

@Sgoldberg247: Hopefully your MS calms down and you're able to enjoy the weirdly warm weather in DC this weekend!

@DeePaddy24 - That sounds horrendous.  I would have hit her.  Not really, but it sounds like she would have deserved it anyway.  I hope you find somebody that you like soon!

@Mrsschmity - That sounds like a much more productive weekend than I could handle, even with naps and hot cocoa, and 7pm bedtimes.  Good for you!  Enjoy that hot cocoa... I really want some, but chocolate just doesn't sound good to me right now.

@Matthewsdm - I'm so excited to have a LO to take to children's museums!  They always sound like so much fun.  But I am a big nerd and a kid at heart, so really I just want an excuse to go without looking like a creeper.

@Sgoldberg247 - I'm near DC too and while I'm enjoying the warm weather, I agree with you that it's supposed to be fall!  I want to rock boots and sweaters and napping by the fireplace!

GTKY: What are your weekend plans? DH is getting sick, so we are planning a weekend of Amazon Prime shows, watching football, hot tea, naps... and smoking some ribs with some friends?  His idea.  The man could be on his deathbed and smoking something tasty would still be a good idea.

How are you feeling? Woke up super dizzy! Nausea has been somewhat better for a few days, emotional and just plain unmotivated!

Rants/Raves? My cousin and his wife called me last night- they're pregnant and two weeks behind us!! So stoked! My cousin and I grew up very close and only six months apart so this is such a blessing. And of course It's Friday!!! I see PJ's, blankets and chic flicks in the near future!

GTKY: What are your weekend plans? With the nausea subsiding it may time to catch up on some housework.

How are you feeling? Very good, some waves of nausea and a bit tired - but haven't had any real MS, so I consider that very lucky!

Rants/Raves? Waiting for this Ultrasound!! My 1st official appt is on 11/17 and this wait feels like forever! I already had 1 appt but it was only for bloodwork

How far along are you? 7 weeks today - whoo hoo!

How are you feeling? Pretty good this week! Still falling asleep at like 9pm but I'm doing pretty good with the other symptoms, aside from the allergy to all of my good jewelry now - is anyone else experiencing this? Its AWFUL! 

Rants/Raves? See above, I just wanna wear my wedding rings, earrings, necklaces etc. without breaking out in a horrid rash. 

GTKY: What are your weekend plans? Tonight DH and I will have a little date night out at one of our favorite restaurants, Pumpkin Ravioli for me! Can't wait. Tomorrow night is going to be the hard part. I'm going out to dinner with my 3 sisters & 1 cousin and there will be a lot of drinking.... we're going to a martini bar so I'm going to try to do what I did last week & Call the restaurant ahead of time & have them tip the waiter off to only serve me non alcoholic "Martinis" (essentially juice in a fancy glass). I REALLY hope I don't get caught for a number of reasons, 1, I would love to say that my sisters will all be happy for me, but they are all dealing with their own situations right now surrounding kids (one wants another while her husband unequivocally does not) the other is turning 40 and is single so she feels like the opportunity for her to ever have kids (SHOULD she decide that she even wants them) is minimal.... 2, I'm waiting until after our first appointment to tell anyone, including our parents, I would HATE for my sisters to find out ahead of time and ruin the surprise for my parents 3, I would want my husband to be there & enjoy the announcement with me and that will be taken away if they find out. So FX for me everyone that I can pull this off!!

How are you feeling? Broken record - tired, queasy. Trying to look at dinner recipes for next week, but the pictures are making me want to puke.

Rants/Raves? I'm really excited we were able to schedule an elective u/s for Dec 23rd (I'll be 14 weeks, the earliest they will do the gender (sex) identification u/s). We are going to have them put something in a box (maybe a baby girl/boy doll or pink/blue heart beat buddy) and have DS1 open it on Christmas to find out if he gets a brother or sister!

GTKY: What are your weekend plans? The in-laws are coming into town tomorrow, so cleaning and more cleaning tonight and tomorrow morning! Poor in-laws have to sleep in our basement ever since we had our second child because we only have a 3 bedroom house, so we need to try to make it as comfortable as possible (tough with all the junk down there).

Hubby is gonna get the house clean for me since I'm mostly stuck in bed, but Sunday we are going to the dog park. They have benches and hopefully the fall air will do me some good.

How are you feeling: Feeling better today, just SO tired!!

Rants/Raves: We have dark wood floors that I have cleaned multiple times recently but our pups muddy paws keep messing them up!! I feel like I'm living in a zoo and it is disgusting!! The issue is it really hurts my back to mop so I don't want to do it for my floors to get messy again (

GTKY: Absolutely nothing!! Going for a mani/pedi today, possibly taking our nephew to the movies (Home Alone is back in theaters on Sunday)

@DeePaddy24 that's sucks about your doc! Mine was surprisingly impressed that I didn't freak out about babies size because I knew when I ovulated. Maybe show him your chart??

Total exhaustion, no motivation, bloated, and my sinuses are going cray cray!

I'm totally in the uncomfortable stage of my pants being too tight, but still trying to hold out a little longer until I splurge on Maternity clothes. Although I perused Thredup and love what they have!
GTKY: What are your weekend plans?

My husband is out of town this weekend, so I will be ordering a lot of take-out and lounging around. I will also be watching the LSU/Alabama game. Maybe if I have  burst of energy I will try to vacuum the floors. My poor house has taken a turn for the worse since week 6. 

Question: How long do you wait to be seen by your doctor at your appointments?  I literally sit in the waiting room for 1.5-2 hours each time. It's incredibly frustrating and I am blowing through a half day of my saved time just on these darn appointments! Just wondering if this is the norm or if I should maybe look into another practice

@mandab8s I don't have any feedback for you regarding doctor visits and waiting, since my first OB appt isn't until the 16th, but that seems outrageous that they have you wait that long! Wow. I'm sure some other ladies who have regular appts might have some advice in regards to that.

@mandab8s: I typically don't wait more than 20-30 mins to get called back for my OB/Gyn, but I typically wait about 10 mins or so in the room. 1.5-2 hours is a bit much. You made an appointment for a reason, right?! Sounds like the staff has poor time management.

@mandab8s I had to wait 2 hours for my first appointment. There was an issue with the sonogram room scheduling, aka they didn't schedule me but wanted to do one.
Also, I could tell one of my doctors patients was about to go into labor or already in labor so she was in the hospital area for a while.

I scheduled my next one at 8:45, if it is another two hour wait I am switching doctors. I don't have that kind of time.

How are you feeling? Nausea comes and goes, food aversions all over the place, sooooo tired and anxiously waiting my first appointment next Friday. Also itchy skin sometimes, it’s unbearable.

Rants/Raves? Soooo hoping we get to see our bean at our appointment next week.

GTKY: What are your weekend plans? We are thinking of getting a new puppy so it will be a little older when the baby arrives. We are visiting some puppies tomorrow so that should be really fun. Also we are running a 5k with some friends and having pumpkin pancake brunch after (too bad no mimosas for me).

How are you feeling? Just fucking awful. Relentless nausea. The other symptoms seem so minor in comparison (even though they aren't). I feel like I'm getting virtually no relief. It's like I've had the flu for a month. And (sorry for the TMI) I keep throwing up in my throat/mouth but not actually fully throwing up.

Rants/Raves? Kinda did this above but I honestly can't concentrate on anything because my nausea is so pervasive and distracting.

GTKY: What are your weekend plans? Nothing tonight! Saturday DH and I are going to our friend's housewarming party and then to his cousin's engagement party (have to pretend I'm not pregnant at both - hope no one notices I'm not drinking - which is unusual for me). Sunday nothing if I have anything to say about it
