Yeah. Could mean you ovulated later than expected. Usually measurements now are for dating, at 20 weeks and later you could have a smaller or bigger baby and it's fine to be off in size, but size now is accurate to when you ovulated and setting a due date. Did they find a heartbeat? Did they give you a different due date at all?
My scan today showed baby was smaller too, they said it's only a concern if it's more then a week off. Anything give or take 7days is fine. And even beyond that doesn't nesisaraly mean there is a problem. Baby is measuring a few days behind but they aren't even changing my due date from what it was set at by last menstrual period.
Totally normal. We had a scan two weeks ago, then another this week, and baby is measuring 12 days bigger instead of the 6 days it had actually been. They said babies have growth spurts and it was nothing to worry about. I bet your baby will level out in no time!
I had an ultrasound last week and my baby was measuring a week behind. My doc didn't seem concerned. I go back on the 17th for another ultrasound so the doc can get a better EDD.
It's very common. Most women don't have a textbook 28 day cycle with ovulation right on day 14, which is what calculating the due date based on last menstrual period assumes. You might have ovulated later than day 14 which would make your baby younger/smaller.
