Waking up with stomach pain

Hi all! I'm a first time mom here and I'm 8w. I've been waking up at night with terrible upper stomach pain and bloating. Is this normal and is there anything I can do for relief? Tums don't help.

Re: Waking up with stomach pain

  • I'm there too. I have been taking some digestive enzymes and papaya enzymes with food and that has helped a bit. Feels like all my food is sitting so high and it's very uncomfortable. Ask your ob or midwife before taking anything like that but mine ok'd what I'm taking. Good luck. I know how miserable it makes you feel.

  • Zantac is typically okay during pregnancy if you have really bad acid reflux but of course make sure you clear it with your doc.  I hope you feel better soon!
