ER this morning. A bit tmi but I need advice!

So I woke up at 4 am went to the bathroom and noticed blood in the toilet and on the toilet paper. I didn't have any cramping but being it was a lot of blood I got nervous. When I arrived she did a pelvic exam and said it looked as if I had a bad yeast infection. She also said the cervix is closed which lead her to think it wasn't a miscarriage. I had a ultra sound and they said the baby looked good, it was fluttering around with a heart rate of 188 bpm. It was cool because in my other ultrasound the baby wasn't moving. So now I'm just wondering why was I bleeding, all tests came back clear, could the blood be from the inflammation caused by the yeast infection??

If the doctor said it looked like a bad yeast infection, I would say yes. The blood could be from the yeast infection.

Blood while pregnant is scary! I am glad the tests came back clear!

I had the same thing happen. It was more like spotting, not red, but from a yeast infection. Take probiotics-they work wonders keeping yeast infections away.

I've never experienced this, but it's great that your cervix is closed and baby is looking good! I hope your yeast infection clears up quickly.

Whoa, so glad it looks like everything is going to be OK! That must have been so scary!

I had oretty heavy bleeding for a couple of weeks. I had a bad yeast infection and anvaginal bacterial infection. After a lot of meds, no more blood or cramping. Good luck!

Did you have sex recently?  That can cause some bleeding.  With my first I consistently spotted throughout, which can be totally normal.  Hope all goes back to normal soon for you!
