Spotting just under 8 weeks

Hi ladies, anybody have any experience with spotting around 8 weeks and had a successful pregnancy? I've had a couple episodes of mild spotting today. I am having some lower abdominal discomfort currently. Anybody able to offer me info on a similar experience? Would you call your doctor? Thank you.

Yes I would call my doctor. Spotting can definitely be normal and you can read countless accounts online and here on The Bump of spotting being a totally normal occurrence and not an indication of a problem. *However*, what is true for another woman is not necessarily true for you. It's most likely nothing to worry about but I don't think a call to your doctor would be out of line. Good luck

Hey lovely. I had it at 4 weeks. 6 weeks. 8 weeks. I have had 3 scans and am 12weeks + 2. Everything is fine.
Maybe call GP and just get some advice but don't worry X

Yes - definitely call your doctor to mention it. I had spotting and cramping ~4-6wks in my first pregnancy and it was a cyst that lasted my entire pregnancy. I now have a healthy 2 year old. Any type of bleeding / cramping combo should be reported. It never hurts. Best of luck!

Could be totally normal. But call the doctor. For me, it meant I had an ectopic....but it is really common for normal pregnancies.
