My 3 week old cries after EVERY SINGLE FEEDING for hours sometimes! I don't know what to do!!! She has lots of gas on her stomach but there's nothing that seems to help!
Mine too. Gripe water, simethicone, dr Browns, frequent burp. Similac sensitive. Nothing is working. I was up from midnight - 2 am. Poor thing is so gassy. No reflux or rash. I'm going to try alimentum tonight. A nutritionist in our peds office was helping me.
Can you wrap her up in a swaddle? Put her in a swing or get out for a walk? Sometimes moms try too many different things to calm their colicky baby and end up stimulating them more! I know I did with my first.
If it is legit colic then no, nothing will make it stop except time BUT you can definitely try gas drops or gripe water to help with the pain from the gas.
A lot of babies have tummy problems around that age as their digestive tract starts maturing and getting used to everything so hang in there.
It's every time right after she eats she will pass gas and then scream for what seems like forever I try and help her release it but I can't and she isn't sucking for very long?
Have you looked into seeing if she could have a milk protein allergy? This just sounds a lot like my friend's son around that age. As far as what to do to help her, when my daughter gets super mad I usually try to swaddle her tightly then I just set her on my lap and raise her legs up over and over and make "oooo" noises every time. I just started doing this and for some reason it really calms her down. She is usually smiling and cooing along with me within a minute.
Mine was the same at the same age. She is formula fed though. We switched to the "partially broken down proteins" similac and it's really helped. She's 6 weeks now and hasn't done that since we switched.
My son is 7wks and very gassy, we use the Little Remedies gas drops and they really help, I just put the serving for his weight in the last ounce of his bottle and it gets all the burps (or farts) out! I also tried gripe water and it just made him throw up.
My son has been going through something similar after feedings since he was 3wks, he's 6wks now. His Pedi thinks it's reflux. I'm still working on finding a solution. However, I've been told by a few other Moms that taking their LO to a chiropractor did wonders. I haven't tried this yet myself but it's next on my list. Just something to look into. I know it's rough, stay strong and good luck.

We switched from Similac Sensitive to Alimentum with great results!
