What's new with baby?: I'm sure something cool is happening this week.

Are you doing anything new to prepare for baby?: planning nursery

Symptoms/Rants/Raves/Cravings: all weekend long I craved a stupid hard apple cider. No clue why. I never drink them when not pregnant. Oh, and full fat chocolate milk. Everything else tastes like dirt though.

GTKY: What is your favorite way to de-stress/unwind? I love to read or surf the internet. When not pregnant I like a glass of wine with those activities.

    What's new with baby?:

Appointments?: we have our level 2 ultrasound scheduled for the 11th to see what's going on with these choroid plexus cysts and what it means for our baby.

Are you doing anything new to prepare for baby?: we were preparing DS1's new room but that's put on hold until we know if these cysts are normal or trisomy 18. I don't want to have him switch rooms until we know if we are bringing this baby home or not.

Symptoms/Rants/Raves/Cravings: having a decent amount of Braxton hicks which is starting to be a little annoying.

    Questions?:

GTKY: What is your favorite way to de-stress/unwind? Working out. I feel like I can channel everything I'm feeling into that.

    Appointments?: Tomorrow, normal checkup

Are you doing anything new to prepare for baby?: I just ordered a bunch of cloth diapers! I'm so excited to cloth diaper this time around. For anyone who hasn't considered it, I urge you to go look on youtube at ObbsandLala, she breaks it all down and is fun to watch. I'm also thrilled about how much money we're going to save by going this route!

Symptoms/Rants/Raves/Cravings: Feeling pretty good these days! Not much to complain about.

  • Weeks- 19

    Team- Team Blue

What's new- His kicks are getting stronger, but DH has not been able to feel them yet.

Appointments- We go on the 18th for our "20" week ultrasound but I'll be 21 weeks by then.

Anything new for baby- This is my first baby and we have nothing, but with the weird spotting/bleeding I've been having its hard to get in the mood to make any purchases. So we've done nothing yet and probably won't for a while!

Symptoms/Cravings- Mexican food which is hard to get in Key West, so I've been trying to deal with Cuban food instead. And pasta salad the kind that Pioneer Woman makes. Still spotting/bleeding for no reason, and still dry heaving every other week or so.

How to unwind- Relaxing in hammock and numbing my teacher brain with Netflix binge watching on weekends. Ready for my DH to get a few days off work so we can enjoy the boat before the weather gets yucky and wintery.

Questions- Any one in Key West also due in March? None of our friends have babies yet and my teacher friends from school have toddlers/older children.
  • Weeks/Size: WEEK 20!!!!!!

    Team (pink/blue/surprise): Surprise

What's new with baby?: baby is the size of a banana... 6.5" I can occasionally feel him/her wiggling around in there.

Appointments?: A/S TOMORROW!!! Follow up with ob (have a/s finding explained) Friday and checkup.

Are you doing anything new to prepare for baby?: CLEANING!! My house just feels gross all around...

Symptoms/Rants/Raves/Cravings: still not having many (if any) cravings. Wtf... I thought pregnancy was supposed to be all about food!! Glorious food!?! Movies have lied to me.

    Questions?: is it Wednesday yet?!

GTKY: What is your favorite way to de-stress/unwind? Usually running or baking. But baking doesn't smell good lately and my mile splits are depressing. I'm going to opt for reading...

    Appointments?: 11/17 Anatomy scan

Are you doing anything new to prepare for baby?: Well trying to find a house still....

Symptoms/Rants/Raves/Cravings: I had the worst blow up at Fiancé earlier because he didn't make me breakfast... I just feel like he never does anything to help out around the house and wanted some domestic pampering. Kinda feel bad about it now, but c'est la vie! Definitely craving all the salt in the universe too...

  • Weeks/Size: 22--Papaya! Team (pink/blue/surprise): Pink What's new with baby?: She's looking more like a newborn and sleeping in cycles. Appointments?: Check-up next week. Are you doing anything new to prepare for baby?: Finished and shared our registry on Amazon and BRU--added some nursery items now that we know how we will be decorating. I only shared our registry with my parents and in-laws...it felt strange, but I don't want to be asking other people since this is baby #3. I'm kind of hoping someone will offer to throw us a shower, as we were starting over with baby things, but I just can't ask! Symptoms/Rants/Raves/Cravings: Heartburn and nausea was at an all-time high on Monday night. I couldn't lie down or even recline, so I sat upright on our couch from 12-5am. It was awful. I've been avoiding stronger stuff than Tums, but I bought some Zantac yesterday. I SLEPT last night!! It was glorious!!! Zantac is my new best friend!! Questions?: Does anyone else have no idea what their baby's name will be yet? I know we still have four months, but with DS 1 & 2, we had the names solidified by this point. Harder with a girl?? It's just a little disconcerting for me! I like to plan! GTKY: What is your favorite way to de-stress/unwind? Enjoy a glass of wine on our back deck after the kids are asleep. Since I can't do either now, I will take a cup of tea and curl up with my soft blanket on the couch, some Classical music, and a book.

  • Weeks/Size: 23 week old grapefruit

    Team (pink/blue/surprise): Pink :)

What's new with baby?:  She has nipples... thanks for the info bump

Appointments?:  Yesterday.  Everything looks great, heartbeat is strong and weight gain is on point.  I was advised to set up and appointment with my Orthopedic Surgeon though

Are you doing anything new to prepare for baby?: Nursery theme decided headed to Houston to buy some furniture in two weeks.  Fighting quite literally with registries (see WTF Wed post)

Symptoms/Rants/Raves/Cravings: My arm is falling asleep on the regualr and i have the constant throbbing in my elbow again like when I found out i had a herniated disc, pinched nerve and bone spurs two years ago.  OB said I need to see my Ortho ASAP and he supports surgery if that's the decision.  I was told I was too young to have the first surgery and that I would be back to resolve the disc between the c6-c7 vertebra.  I am very upset at this.  At this point i get no more than an hour and a half of sleep at a time between the constant pain (imagine that ache that comes with whacking your funny bone, but it never stops and your wrist and hand being so asleep that you would welcome pins an needles over the dull numbness that exists) and night time peeing dude to little butterbean leaning on my bladder.... 3.5 months left :)
    Questions?: Why now?

GTKY: What is your favorite way to de-stress/unwind? Art.  Doesn't matter if it's painting, sculpting, paper crafting, drawing or generic crafting, Art is my therapy.  Now we can all giggle at the irony of my dominate hand having no feeling and this is my stress relief.  3.5 months....

    Appointments?: Today

Are you doing anything new to prepare for baby?: Buying clothes

Symptoms/Rants/Raves/Cravings: Rant- sleeping schedule! I want to sleep ALL the time. But I can never get in a full nights sleep. For example, went to bed at 12 last night, woke up at 4am and been up ever since. Took two naps yesterday. Plan on having my iron checked at DR today.

    Questions?:

GTKY: What is your favorite way to de-stress/unwind? Love when my fiancé gives me a massage

  • Weeks/Size: 23 weeks- the size of a grapefruit (but at 10.5 -11.8 inches, that is one big grapefruit)!

Team (pink/blue/surprise): Still team green!  6 days left until we get our 3rd ultrasound.   I really want to know, but I'm not putting much hope into finding out though, since my children want to be stubborn!

What's new with baby?: My uterus is finally above my belly button :) and Baby is kicking me left and right!  I am actually enjoying the 3AM snack sessions- I eat and baby kicks with every bite :)  if this is what it will be like with night time feedings, I think I will be ok.  After all, I'm already used to not sleeping, when I have to feed myself! I wish I could go buy things for baby but I can't when I don't know if its a boy or girl!  Soo jealous of everyone that got to find out :(

Appointments?: 11/11- 2:30 ultrasound, and 3:30 injection appointment.  Praying we can finally find out if baby is a he or a she- I hate calling baby "it".

Are you doing anything new to prepare for baby?: We started a new target registry on Saturday, and got a $20 gift card!  Woot woot!  Going to use that to buy some bottles I think. Or maybe wait and get our diaper bag...I have so many choices!

Symptoms/Rants/Raves/Cravings: I am finally beginning to get a little uncomfortable, usually in the afternoons before I head home.  By time I get home and eat dinner, I'm ready to lay down for the night and I unfortunately fall asleep about 7:30 pm.  However, I get back up by 9:30-11 or midnight, then up again about 3-4, then up again 5:30 for the day.  Kinda sounds like I already know what my wake/sleep pattern is going to be when baby gets here lol.  I think now that baby is above my belly button things are starting to get pushed up into my rib cage. I feel like a whale this week :(

    Questions?:

GTKY: What is your favorite way to de-stress/unwind? When I'm not pregnant- wine lol. Or exercise...

Now?  SLEEP. Or I cuddle with my pup and my daughter, watch movies, etc...

What's new with baby? I am feeling him a lot more consistently. Hubby can feel him, too. I'm also starting to see patterns in his active / non-active cycles.

Appointments? November 20th. Just a regular pre-natal check.

Are you doing anything new to prepare for baby? I'm looking into maternity sessions. Never did it with our first and I sort of regret it. Also, thinking about names. And I suppose I should start on my registry so I don't forget anything we may need.

Symptoms/Rants/Raves/Cravings: The only thing I ever crave is citrus (pineapple, grapefruit, oranges, etc.) Other than that, still have some food aversions (coffee is one and anything sweet is another).

GTKY: What is your favorite way to de-stress/unwind? Probably go outside for a walk or a run. Although, if money was no object, it would be a spa treatment with a massage, or laying on the beach of an ocean reading a book (no oceans in Minnesota), or both. I also looove to cook / bake.

What's new with baby?: my hubby finally felt her kick for the first time last night
Appointments?: Had an OB appointment today to follow up from my anatomy scan on Monday. Everything turned out normal.
Are you doing anything new to prepare for baby?: Not really, I bought a few outfits since we found out baby is a girl on Monday.
Symptoms/Rants/Raves/Cravings: Still tired, leg cramps. Rants: my dad's reaction to me having a girl was crappy. Also, when my husband falls asleep on the couch and snores when I'm trying to watch a movie, I kind of want to either scream at him, or throw a pillow at his face and tell him to knock it off.
Questions?: Is anyone else's baby in the 36th (ish) percentile for weight? My OB says its graded on a bell curve, so she's technically within normal limits, but it sounds low to me.

    Team (pink/blue/surprise):
    Blue!

    What's new with baby?:
He's moving pretty much all the time now. It used to be I'd only feel the strong kicks or the big somersaults, but now I feel him just shifting around in there all the time (in addition to the bigger movements).

    Appointments?:
On the 19th. I'll listen to his heart again. :)

Are you doing anything new to prepare for baby?:
Well, we found a baby bath by the side of the road that said "Free" on it, so we grabbed it. We'll clean it with bleach and it'll be all good to go! It's even PINK! Hahahaa! But who cares, seriously--the baby won't.

    Symptoms/Rants/Raves/Cravings:
The hunger never ends. Second breakfast has become part of my life now.

GTKY: What is your favorite way to de-stress/unwind?
Veg on the computer, read, video games, or take a nap. I want to take a nap right now, actually.
