Re: **Weekly Symtoms (11/2-11/8)**

  • Progress (week/day): 9w6d

Symptoms: Bloating but it seems to be going down today. Still tired but I feel I have a little more energy. Constipation. My face is finally clear today (the breakouts were terrible). TMI...I had some brown discharge yesterday when I wiped, but none today so far. I am trying not to worry because I know its normal.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I am pumped that it is November and my second job ends. Now I will have so much more time on my hands and I can finally start cleaning all of our junk out of the nursery and maybe even paint soon.

  • Progress: 13 weeks on the nose

Symptoms: really bad headaches. I've been putting ice bags on my head, wearing a frozen mask over my eyes, doing a netty pot to keep sinuses clear. Those all seem to help...a bit. Tylenol, too.

R/R//Q: Anyone have any other secret headache remedies? This has been really debilitating!! And speaking of rants... I got food poisoning Saturday night! I threw up for about 12 straight hours, just really bad yuckiness coming out of all ends. I d idn't eat much yesterday, got totally dehydrated and now weigh less than I did before I got pg. so between the headaches and that unfortunate episode, I'm not doing so hot :(

Symptoms: Apparently bloating because last night H told me I have a "Grinch belly"...thanks lol.

Rants/Raves/Questions: We told H's parents yesterday. They're so happy but MIL has a hard time keeping her mouth shut so Im hoping she can make it to Thanksgiving when we announce it tot everybody.
  • 12w, 1d.

Biggest symptom is my STOMACH!! I know its still bloat/fat, but man, if I was still trying to hide it that would be impossible. Its starting to get hard, so feel like the switch from blump to bumb is going to happen soon. Boob started hurting a bit again this weekend. Very little energy this weekend, and sneezing like crazy (not sure if its allergies or pregnant lady sinus issues). Food cravings are hitting- I don't crave anything in particular, but when something gets in my head...I need it NOW. Like the queso and chips I had at 10am yesterday :)

Off to my NT scan. So nervous!!

  • vinerie , did you give up caffenine? Maybe having a little will help if you aren't doing so already?

  • @yogahh Good luck today--very exciting. As for the caffeine--I still drink a cup of coffee a day, so sadly I'm at my caffeine limit already!

  • Progress (week/day): 13w6d

Symptoms: Still nauseated, but not as bad this week. My stomach is also out of control. Still mostly blump but yikes. Also, headaches.

Rants/Raves/Questions: **Question** Is anyone still having major food aversions to most things? I kind of expected that to be better by now.
  • Progress: 10 weeks, 3 days

Symptoms: nausea, taking diclegis 4x daily. Heartburn , I've never experienced that before. Fatigue, mostly due to taking diclegis I believe.

Rants/raves: I've lost 5 pounds so far and am now almost underweight. It's so hard for me to drink water and to eat normally. I feel like I've only been eating carbs.
Excited for this weekend as we'll be announcing to both of our parents.

I am!  I am 13w2d and even on days when my nausea isn't bad, I still don't want to eat anything.  I have had no cravings either.  Do you have a gross taste in your mouth all the time?  I think that may be adding to my aversions.  Who knows.

  • @vinerie that sounds horrible, I'm so sorry you got so sick!

@Bluejay3030 mine have chilled out a bit but some things I loved before just taste bad now. Totally bummed me out when we went to one of my favorite restaurants!

  • Progress (week/day): 10w3d

Symptoms: Night bathroom trips are annoying, then I remember what it's like in the 3rd tri (5 trips a night for me!) and try not to get annoyed. Otherwise I'm just exhausted still. My husband might have mono and minus the sore throat I've been joking with him that it might just be sympathy pains....

Rants/Raves/Questions: Off topic but I have to take my 1 year old for a blood draw and just thinking about it gives me anxiety....

  • Progress (week/day): 12 weeks, 2 days :)

Symptoms: Still have days that I am so tired. Queasy here and there. Headaches.

Rants/Raves/Questions: Eating healthy! I am a naturally healthy eater but for the past two weeks the thought of anything "healthy" makes me feel sick. I was trying to grocery shop last night and the vegetable area and bags of salad made me feel queasy. It is terrible! If it is not sugar or cereal, sometimes oatmeal I want nothing to do with it. I am PRAYING this passes quickly. I feel bad eating this way and I know I am taking myself down a bad path, but I just want to not feel like puking when I eat so I keep going for the bad stuff! Anyone else have this happen? Does it lighten up?

@Bluejay3030 My food aversion is to like everything! Lol it didn't start until recently though.
  • @vinerie That sounds awful. I hope you feel better soon. I go to a chiropractor and that helps with headaches. Also have DH give me neck massages. I have so much tention lately I think that's where my headaches come from. Lastly sleeping always helps.

    @yogahh Good luck today!

Symptoms:  m/s is gone and I'm finally productive again!!

Rants/Raves/Questions: Raves -- I cleaned my entire house this weekend.  Let's hope the productivity sticks around this week.  Rant -- I hate this in-between phase of not looking pregnant, just like I ate a huge burrito.

@vinerie - I'm sure you're doing this, but just make sure you're getting enough water.  Aside from bad weather, that's where 95% of my headaches come from.

@yogahh - Good luck today!!!  I know you've been anxiously awaiting this.  You'll be able to rest easier once you get to see baby. :)

Progress (week/day): 12w6d by date, 13w4d by measurement  (Doctor is keeping the later due date on the books to give me more time to go into labor for vbac...but now I don't know which to tell people : /)

Symptoms: Major fatigue and sore boobs are my #1 complaint. Weird dreams are still here, but those are sort of fun. Today I started getting that feeling like my hips are trying to pull apart-- I wasn't expecting that until later. I also felt flutters the past few evenings! : )

    Rants/Raves/Questions: No new questions
@vinerie beyond what you're already doing, try massage/muscle work if you haven't yet. I'll try to explain these the best I can. They're techniques that I learned from a D.O.
When I get bad fore-head/all-over headaches I have DH massage my shoulder/neck area. Then, while lying on my back (usually on the bed or floor) I have him run his hands from my neck/shoulders up to lightly grip my head (thumbs under jawbone, fingers on back of neck muscles and pull straight away from me, towards him and hold for a few seconds. When you do this multiple times, it helps to release tension in the muscles that run from the neck over the top of the head. Headaches in my temple area are often helped by massaging where the upper and lower jaw meets and doing bite-resistance muscle-work (start with your mouth open enough to put your hand on your lower jaw, bite up and pull down with your hand at the same time. Relax jaw, then repeat a bit wider. Progressively do this as you widen your bite.)
@Bluejay3030 I hope your aversions go away! Most of mine have and did last time except that I couldn't stomach shrimp until almost a year after I had my son. I have no idea why that one aversion stuck around for such a long time.

  • Progress (week/day): 10w, 6d

Symptoms: A lot of the same that many others are experiencing: growing blump, morning vomiting, sinus issues, food aversions (to most things), off and on nausea all day.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm really looking forward to the second trimester. And to being able to tell everyone the good news
  • @acorcoran89 I have felt that way for going on 7 weeks now.  The only healthy things I eat are very plain salads and fruit.  Everything else is carbs and whatever sounds good at the moment.  At first I felt bad but I got over that pretty quickly.  Both my nurse and my doctor told me not to worry about what I eat and just eat whatever I can.  The baby is getting all that it needs from the prenatal.  If it makes you feel better, I have been eating unhealthy since week 6 and at my 12 week ultrasound the baby was measuring a week ahead of me!  So it's obviously growing just fine despite the fact that I eat a Wendys junior bacon cheeseburger for lunch almost every day.

  • Progress (week/day): 10w 4d

Symptoms: Insane fatigue! Along with migraines, sore boobs, gas, and constipation. Yay!

    Rants/Raves/Questions: no questions.

@vinerie so sorry to hear about your food poisoning. Hope you are starting to feel better now.

@lionstigersbears My 2 year old recently had blood drawn and I was a ball of nerves. Hope everything goes well.
  • Progress (week/day): 14w, 3d

Symptoms: Headaches and constipation are the most frustrating these days. My growing stomach is fun to watch - my husband noticed this AM that my belly button is changing, it's slowly moving it's way from an innie to an outie i guess. Last night I had serious burn in my ab muscles as if I'd done an intense ab workout, and generally feeling lots more pulls and twinges.

Rants/Raves/Questions: It is harder than ever to live in the moment, I am so excited for my 2nd tri milestones!

@yogahh good luck today!! keep us posted!!

@vinerie you poor thing! that sounds awful.

@Bluejay3030 my biggest aversions are sweets and chocolate - it makes me so sad. I miss the joys that sugar can bring!! Also, coffee.

    @AnastasiaBeaverhausen09 yummmmm cheeseburgers... I'm obsessed.
  • Progress (week/day): 13/2

Symptoms: Gas and nausea still. The new thing though.... I swear I'm growing a beard. I've found 2 long hairs and I'm afraid y'all. I don't want to be a bearded lady.

Rants/Raves/Questions: This week I should find out LO's sex!!! So excited!
    Me: 31 | DH: 33
    DD: 05/14/16
    Baby #2 EDD: 12/23/19
  • Progress (week/day): 12 weeks 3 days

Symptoms: sore boobs are back with a vengeance, and I think they are growing again. I'm still tired but not as horribly so unless I was extremely productive during the day. I've also been getting more headaches and a stuffy nose- I've been drinking more water (SO SICK OF IT) and taking my allergy med.

Rants/Raves/Questions: Rant: people need to stop telling me I can't do stuff! I'm pregnant not broken. If my doctor has said it's ok that's who I'm gonna go with. I know it's because they care- but honestly, I'm a get it done type of girl and having people tell me to stop is bothering me.
  • Thanks for all the answers, ladies! I'm sorry we're in the same boat.

@AnastasiaBeaverhausen09 - yes to the gross taste in my mouth ALL. THE. TIME. Like the aftertaste ruins everything, no matter what I wash it down with or even if I brush my teeth. Ugh.

@kbrands7 - I have/had major seafood aversions with this pregnancy and with DD. I had the same problem where I didn't want shrimp or crab for months after DD was born. So sad.

@ladysamlady - Sweets and coffee are repulsive to me, too, and worse still, if I do try to eat one or the other, I end up feeling really sick. Also, peanut butter. Every time I eat peanut butter I feel so sick for hours. It's weird and annoying!
  • Had blood drawn today. Since then, I have had a horrible headache, some jaw pain, and some light-headedness. I can only hope this is not a new symptom, and a result only of having one tube of blood drawn?? Thank God we can take Tylenol (although I took extra strength and kinda bugging out about that now!!) I feel for anyone that has had headaches as a normal symptom. This sucks!

  • Progress (week/day): 14w0d

Symptoms: Round ligament pain has started (I'm pretty sure). I called my dr because I was freaking out about it this morning and they said that what I described is textbook RLP and to not worry about it unless it gets much worse.

Rants/Raves/Questions: Just ranting on a couple of family members (mine and H's) for being douche canoes. But everything else is good!
  • TMI warning. So I had more brown spotting today when I wipe but this time there was some dull red/pink spotting also. I haven't had any cramping. I messaged my doctor and she said it could be normal but is going to order an ultrasound just to be sure. I'm going in tomorrow for the ultrasound. This will be my first time hearing/seeing my baby and I hope everything's ok.

  • @m6agua Fx for a good ultrasound and healthy baby! Spotting is usually okay. I've had it throughout this pregnancy so far.
  • @m6agua Good luck at the ultrasound; sending major positive thoughts your way. I had some pink spotting as well from weeks 5-9. It's super scary, but try to keep your hopes up because it often means nothing. Please keep us posted.

WTF kind of hell am I in where my favorite thing on earth (chocolate) makes me nauseous? I want it so bad! Every time I'm feeling great stomach wise, I think I can do this. I can finally eat chocolate. I eat a fun size snickers or kit-kat, have a mouthgasam, then 5 minutes later, my stomach hates me. Why??? WHY???

    image
  • I'm with you @missnc77 - it is really sad. I had a fun size 3 musketeers on Halloween and it wasn't even enjoyable. I miss my old romance with chocolate.
  • @m6agua - I've been having brown spotting/discharge as well. My doctor isn't concerned as long as it isn't red. They've said to abstain from sex and rest as much as possible.

    Progress (week/day): 10w3d

Symptoms: Bloat, boobs are huge, headaches/migraines, fatigue, oh the fatigue. Crankiness has really set in for me the past couple of days and I can't figure out why. Just cranky.

Rants/Raves/Questions: Ready for 2nd trimester, hopefully my anxiety goes down a little bit.
  • @m6agua Just a quick note to say I'm thinking of you. I think spotting is normal, but scary nonetheless. Keep us posted.

  • Thanks everyone for the love, my appointment is later today. It so hard to concentrate at work today. And then this morning I had clearly red blood spotting. The red only comes after a BM though, otherwise it's always brown. I'll update you all after my appointment. Thanks again.

This is going to sound gross, but are you sure maybe its not spotting from a hemmroid? Especially if its after you pooh?

I was reading about that. I know Dr Google is bad. But I don't think it is. The spotting is clearly coming from the vagina.

@m6agua I'm thinking of you since I've just stumbled upon this conversation. Positive thoughts are all I have for you :)

As for me, I don't know if this is the right place to post this since it's not really a "symptom" but it turned into some symptoms so here I am. My Grandpa fell yesterday and he hurt himself pretty bad. He slipped a disc in his neck and had to have surgery late last night. He went from not being able to move anything to being able to wiggle his fingers and toes this morning. Things seem to be looking up but I am a hot mess and my hormones are everywhere. Last night I couldn't sleep I was so worried and I started cramping pretty bad so I've just been taking it easy today. My nausea still hasn't subsided either, not that I expected it to from past experience, but that's not helping either. I'm just hoping everyone makes it out of this stressful situation alright!
