Hi all! My name's Abbey and my husband and I have been TTC for a little over a year now. A few months into trying I was having abnormally long amounts of time between periods (50-60) days and had several negative HPTs. I made an appointment with my OBGYN and ended up having an ultrasound and ultimately being diagnosed with PCOS. Added to that I have Type 1 Diabetes, which isn't helping the insulin resistance that is a common cause of PCOS. My OBGYN started me on Provera to help regulate my periods and wanted me taking it for a year so that we had a full 12 months of TTC with normal periods. I know Provera doesn't cause ovulation, but can it prevent it from happening? I'm at a loss here and just feel so discouraged every month when my period comes from the provera.
