I bought Natural Whole Herb Ginger Root 550 mg pills to help with since I've been so nauseous - is this okay to take? Or anything advice on how to handle "morning sickness" it lasts all day for me. I'm 7 weeks pregnant right now. Thanks!
Do you juice? Or have a juicer? Juice real ginger root with peeled lemon and mix a little in you water in the morning .... With ice cold water ....that helped me alot! Or selzter water I'd mix it in there
Ginger can be an abortificant as well so don't overdo it. I'd probably try something else. I would maybe get whole ginger root and sniff it when you need, maybe nibble a little- I've done that before for nausea unrelated to pregnancy. I've heard good things about preggie pop drops and was able to find some at Target, though I haven't needed them yet. I also have heard ginger altoids help, but I can't even find those on amazon. Peppermint helps too. There's also sucking on lemons and who knows how many other kinds of tricks.

I looked for altoid ginger mints on Amazon too, but it doesn't seem like they make them anymore. Newman's makes them and they're pretty good. They dissolve slow, so one lasts a little while.
I also use ginger root to make ginger tea with lemon.

I'd recommend an OTC ginger based tea vs. the intense ginger root capsules.
I would be hesitant to take any herbal supplements, they aren't regulated and may have additional harmful ingredients that you don't know about. Just a year ago there was a big study that found a lot of the herbal supplements contained nowhere near what they claimed (were above or below significantly) and had other non listed ingredients in them.
