Baby won't sleep in bassinet?? "Try This"

My son is 3 weeks old and has slept in his bassinet since day one, but then all of a sudden he refused yesterday/prior day and we were up all night. So yesterday I had him in the bed with me during the day then at night he still wouldn't sleep for longer than 2 minutes in the bassinet. I tried elevating one side of the bassinet by adjusting the legs and that didn't work. So I thought what's different about our bed than the bassinet? Extra padding and thus extra warmth!! So I took a towel, not a rough one but this one is microfiber, and folded it in half to cover the entire bassinet pad/mattress, and put the sheet over that and it worked like a charm!! He actually sleeps a bit longer as well. Hope this helps someone...I know we all need help with different things at this point.

I have to say I tried this before reading your post and ur right - it does work. Although my baby still clings to the lap or behind held 30-40% of the time.

Good idea!! Our bassinet mattress is so thin.
