Hi Ladies,
As some of you already know, my husband and I are looking for an Israeli name that also sounds good in English as we will be splitting our time. I'm Israeli and my whole family is there so there's a strong reason we want it to work in both languages.
In my last poll I had a name in there that got a lot of votes, but we decided it wouldn't be pronounced the way we want it to in English so it's out. I'm hoping its between these two names.
Once you vote, if you could please write how you would pronounce it that would be a huge help!!
Thank you so so much!
P.s. I included two different spellings of the first one - would you pronounce then the same? Which one do you like better?

ILL-e-um.... Probably because I'm a nurse and the ilium is a bone in the pelvis. I have a friend who names her son Elias pronounced ILL-e-us and have the same problem.
Baby #2 Due 3/7/20
I like Leedor too. Or Leedore

Autism mama!
Elyam gets my vote, and I'd pronounce it "ELL-yahm" - I actually like this name, and if I were asked to guess what country the name was from, Isreal would be my guess.
Leedor and Lidor I would pronounce differently (long E and long I sounds respectively). I think Lidor would be mispronounced constantly in English, if you intend it to sound like Leedor. To my very American eyes, I'd have no clue the country of origin of these names if I had no info to go with them.

I like this name as I would pronounce it like Liam with an e added to the front. I think the kid will probably have to correct people at first, but it's easy to spell and easy to say.
Not a fan of Elyam - makes me think of yams.
Lid-or
L-E-M
The first name id pronounce like Leader in the first spelling and litter in the second. Since both leader and litter are words I don't love it as a name.
