Any Unemployment Experts?

I started working a part time job a year and a half ago , 24 hours a week.  My hours were reduced to 12 hours a week back in June (not voluntarily). I just found out that my job is being eliminated and that I will be paid through the end of November.  I know I should qualify for unemployment; however, can I also collect for the reduction of hours from June through now?  Or is it too late?  Also, it's my understanding the maximum weeks of benefits is 26 weeks.  Is it possible to get back paid for the reduction of hours and get the 26 weeks after I stop getting paid in November?  I know laws vary by state, but curious if anyone has any insight into unemployment benefits.
