I have a 3 month old daughter named Felicity Gene and I have been thinking about a NN for her. I don't really like the traditional NNs for Felicity like Flick or Flicka. So do you guys have anyother ideas for a NN.
There are a lot of names out there than have easy nicknames. Then there are a lot of names out there, that are a little harder to figure out a nickname (like Felicity). Felicity is the type, that I would just see what her personality is, and then give her a nickname that goes with that. With my daughters name (Greta), I was dead set on calling her Etta as a nickname. But she is almost four, and I have never once called her that. She goes by Greta, Gator, Gator Renegade, G, and Turbo. The Gator/Gator Renegade was a joke when I was pregnant and she didnt have a name, and it just stuck. G obviously came because it was the first letter of her name. And Turbo happened over time, randomly, and just stuck. She will answer to all five names, but if I was to ever call her "Etta" she would look at me like "WTF?!"
Cici is a good one for Felicity, but there could be other nicknames that happen over time that would be cool too.
To me, felicity just really isn't a name hat lends itself to a nn very well, so if I were using that name she would just be felicity, unless a nn found her more naturally. But I tend to not really see the point of choosing a name with the intention on mani my using a nn, unless you're using the name as an honor to someone and just don't like the name, or need to avoid confusion between more than one with same name, or the name is really long. I think the name felicity is very very lovely!

I don't know any Felicitys, but I once knew a Felicia. Her friends sometimes called her Fifi. It was actually pretty cute and suited her. I would say to just go with the full name you like, and as your daughter gets older, a nn may pop up on its own. Or not. Not everyone needs one!
Re: Nickname help
I am admittedly not a big nn person though.
