Early Labor

So I started having contractions at 1:00 am yesterday morning (the 26th). I had them consistently until 9:00 am and they tapered off a little bit. I had a few bad ones throughout the day. Then around dinner time I started having them again even more intense. I couldn't walk through them and could barely talk through them. They were about 8 minutes apart. I finally decided I needed to go to L and D and when I got there my cervix hadn't changed at all. Still 1cm 50% effaced. So they ended up sending me home with an Ambien so I could sleep. They did say that I was definitely in early labor and my body is trying to go into full labor. How long did early labor last for y'all? It's frustrating thinking that I could be having contractions this painful for days without a baby.

I don't know if you're up to it try having sex. I was having off and on contractions for days and sex put me into labor. You naturally contract when you orgasm so it could jump start you.

@midge519 we had sex Sunday and that's the night that they started. So I guess that's a good sign!

@hwknight keep at it lol. Prior to going into labor we realized that every time we had sex I would contract every few minutes for a half hour or so. So we kept at it to try to help lol

We tried sex and it was horrible, also made no difference :-(

Preaching to the choir! I've been dealing with this for 2 weeks!! She's staying in there so far and not coming out. Good luck momma!!
