    Week/Baby Size: 16/avocado

Symptoms: itchy and tired, rarely nauseous anymore (except for that time last week when I puked so hard I peed a little).

Rants/Raves/Stories: Have to tell my other four siblings this week so DH can openly talk about it (because he can hardly contain himself anymore).

Upcoming Appointments: anatomy scan in four weeks!

    Questions:

    GTKY: Favorite scary/Halloween movie?
I'm not a big movie person, especially scary movies. But OMG does anyone else watch TWD?!?

    ek/Baby Size: 17!

Symptoms: Still occasional nausea. I have started getting very sore too. Prenatal yoga is my friend.

Rants/Raves/Stories: Last night, I was letting LO feel my belly and how hard it's getting, and she put her eye right up to my belly button and said "I'm trying to see the new baby. It's dark in there."

Also, on my way out the door this morning, DH said that my new "professional" maternity pants look like sweatpants. I will now be self-conscious about this every time I wear them.

Upcoming Appointments: Two weeks until my anatomy scan.

Questions: We have parent/teacher conferences today and Thursday and I haven't made an announcement about being pregnant to the kids (and don't plan to)... should I mention it to parents at conferences? I teach middle school if that makes a difference.

    GTKY: Favorite scary/Halloween movie?
(Stole this one from the weekend ladies - thanks guys!) Not necessarily halloween, but my favorite scary movie is El Orfanato

Symptoms: Feeling really good! I have noticed that I get a lot more sore after exercising (I primarily run), especially in the inner leg muscles right beneath my groin. Is that normal?

Rants/Raves/Stories: The battery on my scale died a few weeks ago. I have been eating everything in sight and in complete denial. Got a new scale... I'm up 20 lbs!! OMG!!! How is this even possible?! Praying that some of it is water weight. I only gained 30 total with my son. I did gain more quickly in the beginning, but not THIS quickly. Anyway, bought tons of healthy options at the grocery store this weekend and have been cracking down on healthy eating, tracking my food, and continuing to get back into exercising. Praying I can slow down the weight gain at least somewhat, although it does worry me a little because I know I'm supposed to gaining about a pound a week from here on out... which would put me at a 44 lb total gain, which really cannot happen. I don't want to starve my baby, but holy cow. I was hoping to stay within the recommended 25-35 range (21.1 BMI pre-pregnancy, so healthy weight).

Upcoming Appointments: Have a quickie appointment this afternoon! Nervous to weigh in and see what they say :-S Hopefully will schedule the anatomy scan after today's appointment!

Questions: GTKY: Favorite scary/Halloween movie? (Stole this one from the weekend ladies - thanks guys!): I'm not really into any Halloween movies.

    Symptoms: nosebleeds, heartburn, headaches

Rants/Raves/Stories: the LO I watch asked me when my baby was coming without anyone telling her I was having a baby. Freaked me out a little. She's excited now. Yesterday I was talking about my stomach being hard and she said it's because there is a baby in there. Haha

Upcoming Appointments: sex rescan on Wed and A/S in 3 weeks

Questions: How's everyone's weight gain? I'm supposed to gain very little over the whole pregnancy and managed to make it to the 2nd without gaining but worried I'm going to start gaining a lot faster now that I'm not throwing up daily.

    GTKY: Favorite scary/Halloween movie?
(Stole this one from the weekend ladies - thanks guys!) 13 ghosts, the Saw movies,...I have sooo many.

@brenlo42 I hate when SO makes observations like that. It's like are we not self conscious and hormonal enough already as it is.

If you don't plan on doing an announcement to the kids they will probably figure it out and ask you about it so if it's not a big deal I probably wouldn't say anything to the parents unless they ask later on.

Symptoms: Got a little energy yesterday, but then overdid it and lost all the energies :/

Rants/Raves/Stories: Nothing too crazy this week, thank goodness. Although I will mention that I spend alot of time with my pregnant bestie/sister in law, and we have to try to help each other remember daily things. Although it is kind of like the blind leading the blid, we both are so forgetful. Also, yesterday DH tried to tell me he keeps forgetting things because he has preggo brain too.....

Upcoming Appointments: Still waiting for my next one on the 10th of November :)

    Questions: None

GTKY: My all time FAVORITE Halloween movie is Hocus Pocus :) Can't get enough this time of year!

    Week: 16/ avacado

Symptoms: I've been pretty symptomless lately.

Rants/Raves/Stories: I'm really getting tired of people asking me if is should be drinking/eating that, or if my coffee is caffeine free. No my coffee isn't caffeine free....are you a doctor because mine says caffeine is fine in moderation. Let me have my coffee in peace, damn it. I don't need any help. I feel better now. Ha!

Upcoming Appointments: next Thursday for a routine visit.

    Questions: none

GTKY: I'm not really into scary movies. Actually, I'm not a big movie person in general.

    Week/Baby Size: 15/ orange

Symptoms: I've been super short tempered lately. Other than that just the normal tired

Rants/Raves/Stories: I'm a little annoyed with my new OB's office. The girl I talked to a few weeks ago said they would call me to make an appointment once my records had been reviewed. When I called yesterday to make sure they had my records, the girl I talked to (different than first time) seemed shocked I waited so long to call and make an appointment. I'm hoping the first girl was just new or something

Upcoming Appointments: meeting my new OB tomorrow, probably just do a HB check

    Questions:

    GTKY: Favorite scary/Halloween movie?
(Stole this one from the weekend ladies - thanks guys!) I couldn't tell you the last scary movie I watched. Not really a murderous rampage blood and guts person.

Questions: How's everyone's weight gain? I'm supposed to gain very little over the whole pregnancy and managed to make it to the 2nd without gaining but worried I'm going to start gaining a lot faster now that I'm not throwing up daily.

I'm up 5-8 lbs but I honestly don't really keep track of my weight. I just know that I can stomach fruits and veggies now, so that's what I'm eating. Combined with lots of water, I feel so much better than when I was carb-loading through the first semester. I was a bit worried about gaining too much during the first semester when I was constantly snacking to keep the nausea at bay, but I don't think I've gained since consciously changing my diet. It probably helps that I've also lost my sweet tooth :)

    Week/Baby Size: 14/lemon

    Symptoms:
Most of the 1st tri issues are subsiding, except for being super cranky/emotional, and continuing fatigue. I've only gained about 5-7 lbs, which is good I guess. Lately my feet hurt in the morning when I first get up and walk around... I thought I remembered that happening much later!

    Rants/Raves/Stories:
We're probably never going to officially "announce" because we just can't decide on how to do it... And I'm reluctant to take much initiative in the matter because hubby wants to do a funny/clever photo announcement and I just don't feel very photogenic. It does NOT help that I've seen the pregnancy photos he took with his ex when she was pregnant with my stepson... Pointless to even consider that, I know, but I'm hormonal and petulant. Hubby admires my growing belly, but he isn't really good at paying me compliments. For instance, the other day he whistled at me when I walked through the room... But the room was almost pitch black. No comment day after day when I put on makeup and pants (lol) to go somewhere, but apparently I look great in low visibility. Sigh.

Appointments: honestly I don't even know when I'm supposed to go in next.

    Questions:

GTKY: Favorite scary/Halloween movie? I've never been a fan of scary movies... But I started watching AHS last year with my oldest.

I've gained about a pound over pre pregnancy weight, but I was down 5Lbs at one point in first tri. Sweets (except for sour candies) upset my stomach and I have basically no interest in food. My diet is still carb heavy so I try and force a salad down every few days. I gained 35/37Lbs with DD and I was eating super healthy meals, but wanted all the sweets. I'm in the camp of I'm not going to worry unless my doctor starts to.

Symptoms: still tired, but probably more related to waking up in the middle of the night with DD.

Rants/Raves/Stories: Feeling a little disconnected to this pregnancy which makes me sad. I think I'm just worried how our life going from 1 to 2 kids.

Also stressed about childcare for this spring/summer. There are very few part time day cares in our town which I'd like to enroll my DD before this LO arrives. Currently on wait list for next July

Exactly this. My mother told me I shouldn't gain more than 15 pounds, but my midwife is suggesting around 30. Sorry mom, but I'm definitely listening to the nice lady who went to school specifically for my medical condition. Until the midwife or an OB becomes concerned about my weight, I'm eating what I can stomach.

You're *supposed* to gain weight now that you're in second tri... you should be worried if you don't! Granted, depending on your starting weight and what your doctor says, some gain more than others... but in general about a pound a week is good, or at least a half a pound a week.

I posted above that I have already gained way too much weight. Last time I gained a lot in the beginning and it slowed down later, so hopefully I won' t get too out of control. I actually lost a little in third tri because there was n room in my stomach and I would get full SO quickly after only a few bites! The only time in my life I ever had THAT problem!

Symptoms: So tired, where is this second tri energy and libido people keep talking out? IT DOESN'T EXIST! Having a hard time sleeping, waking up about every 2 hours to pee (I think my UTI is back, ugh), plus my dogs are cuddling with me more at night and there is no room for me in the bed! I kick them out and they jump up as soon as I fall asleep again. I've also been super light headed in the mornings and frequently have to sit down/slow down as not to faint (which is happening after I've eaten, so it's not lack of food).

Rants/Raves/Stories: I'm so over people touching my belly - it's not even really a bump yet, still jiggly and fat. I had to stop my mom, sister and aunts from touching it at my great aunts funeral last Saturday because it was so awkward and inappropriate. Does that weird feeling ever go away, or will I always be bugged by people touching my belly? I won't even let my DH touch it yet, cuz there's nothing to feel! On a good note, we mailed out formal baby announcements today so I'm pretty excited about that! :)

Upcoming Appointments: Nothing until Nov 12, anatomy scan 11/23

Questions: Anyone else dealing with light headedness/fainting spells? Any advice?? Mine all seem to happen in the morning after I've eaten.

GTKY: Favorite scary/Halloween movie? HATE THEM! I watched "When Darkness Falls" when I was 14 and I'm still afraid of that bitch! I have to have a night light in my bathroom for night time comfort!!

@pinottoparenthood I think this is a space issue more than anything. I have crowd anxiety and I don't like to be touched. I almost broke our receptionist's hand one day because she put it on my shoulder but was standing where I couldn't see her. I lost my shit. A nurse that I like much more touched my pudge briefly today, but she didn't linger so it wasn't *super* awkward and uncomfortable. Plus, I could tell who the hand was connected to. I think I've decided that my plan for when people rub my belly is to rub theirs back.

haha. i'm just pretty laid back about it. If people are excited for me, I'm happy. No one is thinking oh wow, this stomach feels flabby! But again, I would feel differently if it were a stranger. I have never had a stranger try to touch my belly, even when I was like 9 months pregnant. And no one ever tried to touch my newborn either. I think I just exude a general bitchiness that keeps people away, ha.

I should definitely work on this. I wanted to be like...that's still several inches above where I'm growing this kid, but thanks for being excited. I mean, I can see myself inviting someone to touch if the baby's kicking around or something because that's a cool feeling...I just don't get rubbing pregnant bellies. Never really have.

Rants/Raves/Stories: We took pregnancy announcement pics/Christmas pictures last weekend. We had a great time with DS. Can't wait for the pics to come out. Then on Sunday, I was just poking out my belly and he came by and kissed it and gave my belly a hug. He hasn't been really concerned with my baby bump, but I guess since it was more visible, he realized something was growing in there.

Also, I was happy to not be throwing up for a week, but then I started getting nervous and wondering if the baby was ok. Like I literally started associated vomiting with an active baby. Smh.
