Period 4 weeks after c section?

This is my 2nd c section but my recovery has been a bit different so just curious if it's possible to get period again 4 weeks after csection? About a week ago I stopped having discharge, with DS my discharge went from pink to like a yellowish and then stopped about two weeks after that I had some bleeding but it was light and short, two months after that I had my first regular period. With DD I had a pretty bad PP Hemorrhage, I bled for about two weeks and then had brownish, dark red discharge for another week or so and not much of anything for the past few days.  Today I've started spotting bright red blood, this is TMI but it smells totally different from the post partum discharge and I'm feeling a little crampy. I'm just paranoid because of the hemorrhage, I do not want to go through that again! I'm FF and BF, but have definatey lightened up on the BF in the past few days.

With DD1 I had my period about 5 weeks after my c even with breast feeding.

I have no idea, but wanted to chime in since we're on the topic.  (Hope that's okay.)  I had discharge for 10 weeks (yes, that's 10), FTM who hemmoraged after delivery.  Baby is 16 weeks today and I have not had a period.  Is that normal?  I'm 43 so could age have anything to do with it?

Well false alarm, it's changed to brownish red discharge. 

Jerseygirl, are you EBF? I heard of EBF ladies taking as long as 6 months to get their cycles back. I'm 43 too, so I guess we'll see if age has any impact on when i get it back!

@jerseygirl227 my coworker went 13 months with no period. basically the entire time she breastfed. Crazy how different the experience is for everyone. I say enjoy it!

Thanks, ladies, but unfortunately I am not breastfeeding. My milk never came in. 

We've been using condoms for BC. Am starting to get a bit nervous, though I doubt lightening could strike twice.

oh no, well good luck either way.. I'm back to light bleeding again, I do think this could be my first cycle, trying not to overthink it since it's pretty light right now

I'm 12 w PP. BC is the mini pill. I had discharge for 4ish weeks and my period came back at 6 weeks. I was EBF but now am EP

Don't want to high jack the thread, but @Kate08Young, when did you start taking the mini pill and did you see any impact to your supply?

I started taking the mini pill at 3 weeks PP. I specifically choose the mini pill because it wouldn't change my supple. So far at 12 weeks PP it hasn't had any impact. Only problem is that if I miss a pill it takes 24-48 hrs to be covered again.

Took a preggo test from the dollar store just to be sure of things.  Negative.  Guess my old body just needs some more time to get itself back to normal.

I had my first PP period at exactly 5 weeks! Freaked me out a little at first.
