  • @riveridgional FX for you!

Currently we are just waiting for further instructions for pre-IVF testing. We did the bloodwork last week (std's and cystic fibrosis). Waiting for the results and our next step. I've been having weird dreams about it. I have a feeling the next two months are going to be looooong.

Question of the Week:  What fashion trend do you think should never have happened?
Hmm I'd say the brightly colored parachute pants from the 80's. Like MChammer pants.

  • I'm finally more than halfway to my RE appointment! Hurry up and get here, November 12th! Finally got an OPK+ on cd22 so I'm just crossing my fingers for a normal luteal phase this time around. If so that would put me on CD6 or 7 for my RE appointment and if he magically has an opening in his schedule for surgery I can take it!

Wearing leggings as a replacement for pants. I get it. I've got a curvy butt and thighs and finding pants that fit is hard and leggings are easier because they stretch - but leggings aren't pants!

  • Hahahaha @ceclarlinetlo get ready to cringe. ..I'm wearing leggings as pants right now! Hahahaha. I used to have the same feelings as you, but now I'm in love with wearing leggings as pants. It doesn't hurt that I've gained quite a few with all the medication lately and now all my other pants are so uncomfortable! When they first became a "thing," I did make multiple eye rolls daily. I'm now one of them....aaahh!!

@calfherder Oh man, I forgot about brightly colored parachute pants!! They made a brief attempt at a comeback in the early 2000's, and I'm not going to lie, I owned a pair - bright orange!! I still look back and laugh at myself for that "fashion" choice!

    I'm loving this QOTW!

  • It's 13 dpo and got a bfn this morning. I'm really just trying to look at the positives of this cycle like making it to 13 dpo. I'm thinking of taking next month off from meds just to give my body a break from all the hormones.

Qotw: Sagging pants that show underwear.
    yellingbanana
  • @turtle148 I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm glad you're looking at the positive. I took a month off a few months ago, and, while I did regret it at times, it was the right decision for me. I came back refreshed, recharged and much more positive about my treatments. If your body and/or mind is telling you to take a break, listen to it/them!!

Just waiting on my HSG friday since AF ruined all my excited hopefulness last week. Everyday I reconsider if we really can do this with my husband's 4 nephews in the home but we really want a baby of our own.

  • I'm currently in the 2WW after doing femara/injects of gonal-f (since bravelle is recalled) and then trigger on 10/18 and TI.  Have no beta scheduled but am supposed to do a HPT on 11/3.  Was able to distract myself pretty well this past weekend by going on a mini-vacation but now that I'm back home, the wait is going so slow!

QOTW: Probably those velour track suits that were quite the rage a few years ago.  Sure they were comfy but fashionable?  Not exactly.
    Married to DH since 8/15
    TTC since 5/15
    PCOS, 35+, diagnosed with pre-diabetes
TI for 4 cycles: 1 round of femara; 2 rounds femara/ injectables: all ended in BFN.
3 IUI Cycles: letrozole/Follistim with HCG Trigger, all resulted in BFN.
    FET #1: Baseline appt 4/28/16, Gonal-F/Menopur stims, Centrotide 5/4/16, ER 5/11/16; 6/8/16 ET, BFN
    FET #2: Baseline appt 6/22/16, Estrace/PIO shots: 7/12/16 ET, 1st beta 7/21/16: 83 BFP, 2nd beta 7/23/16: 315. 1st U/S: 8/4/16 empty sac.  2nd U/S: 8/10/16 yolk sac appeared, everything stopped growing. Office D&C: 8/11/16, MC.
    FET #3: Baseline appt 12/28/16, Estrace/PIO shots: 1/17/17 ET, 1st beta 1/27/17: 146 BFP, 2nd beta 1/29/17: 336, 1st U/S: 2/16/17, 2 healthy twin babies measuring 7w0d.  EDD: 10/5/17

@ceclarlinetlo counting down with you! Nov 9 for us. Nothing new here, just waiting!! I did get caught up on some school work this weekend so I feel accomplished.... usually I just spend the day looking at baby stuff on pinterest hahahaha

Edit to add QOTW! I agree with leggings. There are different ways that are ok.... like with a long shirt, but not tight ones that show too much!! Lol

RE DX for me: Anovulatory cycles/Mild PCOS  RE DX for DW: Endometrioma on left Ovary.
Reciprocal Ivf Feb 2016. DW eggs and I am carrying. EDD: 10/27/16

  • Happy Monday ladies!

I am currently on CD 13 and went to RE this am for US/BW. Not much happening. Blah. This is typical for me as I'm a late bloomer no matter which drugs they give me. (We decided to do Letrozole this month.)

QOTW: skinny jeans for men. Yikes
      • TTC #1 since August 2014
      • currently on 5th medicated IUI cycle
  • 1.  Almost 5 years
    2.  Endometriosis and Fibroids (multiple surgeries for both and the most current being last November)
    3.  Clomid 25mg. Just finished day 9 of 5-9. 28 day cycle.

Question of the Week:  What fashion trend do you think should never have happened?

    Man buns...nope...

TTC #1: March 2011 (slightly before)
    Fur-children: 3 dogs + 2 cats (all rescued)
    dx: Endometriosis and Fibroids
2 Laps and 1 Abdominal Myomectomy
    6 rounds of clomid
    5 rounds of iui
Several HSG's sprinkled throughout the years to up my chances of a BFP
Several dilation of cervix because they suspect the scar tissue is hindering it from fully opening (partially adds to the severe cramps all month)
IVF #1 Gonal F, Menopur and Cetrotide
    ER 12/1/2016
    ER-Retrieved 22 eggs 10 fertilized
4/4 day 5 embryos were normal for PGS!!! 2 boys/2 girls
    FET 1/10/2017
    Gallbladder surgery 1/10/2017
FET estimated end of Feb, beginning of March

  • Hello ladies, I'm currently on TWW. Again. I think this is cycle #22 that we've been trying. I wish I could say that this round is looking good, but it always seem great until AF shows up :) follies are always good, hormones always good, we DTD like once a day, and now we just need a missed period and BFP!

Qotw: short shirts, the ones that were in style like a year ago. They drove me nuts! I usually shop in the juniors section because I'm petite, but with a long waist. Long waist + short shirts= fashion disaster. I didn't buy any, but just seeing them reminds me that there is no purpose for them.I'm so glad they're going out of style again! I need me some long shirts!!! Lol

  • emgem819 omg I totally owned a sweat suit like that like 10 years ago- in pink too! haha!
ahende04 good luck on your HSG!
riveridgional I like your positive attitude! I am also a type A personality and it's really hard for me to let go. And I love your sign, I hope it is a sign! ;)
ceclarlinetlo I wear leggins as pants all the time lol. In my defense they are the thick kind so you can't see my underwear or anything and I wear them with reasonably long shirts too! haha
turtle148 sorry to hear! Sending tons of good vibes for next month!

AFM, AF finally arrived yesterday after 40 days. I talked to the Dr and we are doing the hysteroscopy next friday or saturday. Because I ovulate early he put me on birth control pills just to make sure I won't ovulate before the exam otherwise we would have to wait another month. So, I guess I'm just waiting now for the exam and we will decide what's next depending on the results.

QOTW- Leg warmers- I just see no point or fashion sense! lol
    *BFP warning*
    *Child mentioned*
TTC #2. Daughter born July 17th of 2013.
    PCOS, Endo, Insulin Resitance.

HSG done Sep 17- tubes unblocked! SA done- came back good! Hysteroscopy done Nov7- No uterus issues

    On 2550mg a day Metformin.
Round 1 of Clomid- 100mg CD3-7  BFN- Clomid left a huge cyst, AF arrived after 40 day cycle- BFN
Round 1 of Femara- 10mg CD2-6 Mid cycle scan showed two follies (31mm and 27mm), trigger shot- BFN
    Benched out December- BFN
Round 2 of Femara- BFP!!! First beta at 10dpo- 28 Second beta at 12 dpo- ?

  • Lol everyone's answers are so funny.
I'm still waiting for my period to come so I can do my third iui. I'm hoping by nov 7 I'll be good to go.

I agree with everyone's fashion taboos except for the leggings. :-) I'm guilty.
I'll say turtlenecks. I hate turtlenecks.
  • I am CD35 today with no signs of AF for tomorrow (I was having 35 day cycles on the dot the last 3 round of Clomid).  I don't know if my CP messed up my cycle or if it just was a random anovulatory month.  I go in to my RE tomorrow for bloodwork again to make sure everything looks good and then I will start my next round of Clomid (150 mg now + trigger) if the results are fine.  Hoping this cycle is a good one!  Last cycle was a waste, so I am really hoping this one + the higher dose will do the trick.

FX for you @riveridgional!!   @ceclarlinetlo I totally wore leggings as pants today...they're just so comfortable I can't help it!

QOTW:  I hate kitten heels...they're like the mullet of the shoe world.  A few years back, Old Navy did a line of thong sandal kitten heels :::BARF::: Also not a fan of the saggy pants with the boxers showing.

  • I wear leggings as pants almost every day... you just can't beat the comfort! :)

  • My Dr. added metformin to my treatment, so I've been taking that for about a week now. I can already tell a difference after I eat. I no longer have swim-y vision, which I see as a plus. They also bumped me up to 150 on Clomid. Tomorrow is cycle day 32, so I will start Provera if AF doesn't come in the next 12 hours which she probably won't since I didn't ovulate last cycle.

Fashion Trend that is a no no for me is peplum. I just think it looks very 1980's although I've seen a few girls pull it off.

  • So I am on day 7 of my first round of clomid...I totally understand clomid crazies now as I wanted to kill my waitress for wearing too much bad perfume... Anyway we found out the other day that even though out insurance told us they were going to cover 70% they are covering nothing including a really expensive hsg that if I went to the re instead of the obgyn they have a pay out of pocket for half the price...ugh insurance sucks! Hopefully this clomid works and we won't have anymore bills to deal with....baby dust to everyone!!

Well I am on CD15 today and in the 2ww. I had an US on CD12 which showed a 15 on my left and a 23.1 on my right. My doctor was very happy with this. He originally told me that he would only do 3 rounds of clomid before referring me for a 2nd opinion but with the good results this time he said he would feel comfortable doing 1-2 more if it didn't work this time. I could also tell that my ovaries were sensitive Saturday and Sunday but today they feel fine so that's exciting.

  • 1. We have been TTC since June... I know it's definitely short in terms of TTC and I apologize to anyone that finds this too soon. I have medical issues besides the PCOS and my family isn't supportive on the journey my husband and I are taking so it's nice to find people who are. :)

    2. PCOS and a kidney disease (diagnosed at 12 - Which inevitability will lead to diabetes and right now I'm borderline.) I am monitored through my nephrologist and obgyn.

    3. First week on Clomid (I'm currently on day 3 of 5 for CD3-7. If we are not pregnant by January, my OBGYN will refer me to an RE. I am going to talk to him in two weeks about earlier since my cousin and aunt both had issues conceiving and I seem to be following in their footsteps and my kidney disease usually begins to go downhill at 30 and I'm 28. Trying to figure out a way to ask him without seeming like I'm not appreciative for his help thus far.

  • Hi Ladies! Happy Tuesday

Wish I could say I am in my 2ww to test, but No.  I'm in my 2ww for Lap surgery.  I got it scheduled yesterday for Nov. 11th and will go in for check up next week.  I am ready to get this over with and move on.  On the bright side, I will take a few days off and relax afterwards. Oh and hopefully get rid of my pain.

  • 1.  We have been 'officially' ttc since October of 2013.

    2.  We don't have an official diagnoses yet. We just had our first RE appointment and I will be going for an HSG as soon as my next cycle starts and for more hormonal blood work. My DH will be repeating his SA in the next two weeks and then hopefully we can move forward with some more information from there.

    3.  Going for more testing in the next couple of weeks but right now we are just doing the BD and all the other small (sometimes ridiculous) daily things...drinking lots of water, drinking green tea, taking a fafillion vitamins...

Question of the Week:  What fashion trend do you think should never have happened?

Women shaving half of their heads. I'm sorry if any of you wear this hair style but I just do not think it is attractive!

@WA85 I agree with the man buns. Barf.

  • November marks month 18 TTC. I'm glad we've got some appointments to look forward to! Next week I have a follow up with my GI doctor to talk about the results of my repeat Celiac draw (I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease 5 years ago) and I'll ask if they have any reason to suspect that my autoimmune disorder is related to our struggle to conceive. This month I am also meeting with an acupuncturist for the eastern medicine approach. She will give me a diagnosis from that perspective and a treatment plan (mostly related to diet probably) in addition to the acupuncture. My first appointment is on my likely O day and my second appointment is a week after, so theoretically the acupuncture could help with implantation. And finally our infertility consult is in early December. Getting closer to looking at what's really been going on!

  • Y'all, I think I'm cracking. It's going to take some insane willpower not to test tomorrow! I blame my usual pre-AF spotting! I usually start spotting today or tomorrow. I've only had a small amount of brown today and then the lightest, barely noticeable pink. So, I'm basically driving myself crazy everytime I have to pee and so scared to see what I find when I wipe. I'm constantly making myself take deep breaths and tell myself to calm down. Afterall, it's true there is literally nothing I can do right now regardless of the result. I'm having a hard time imagining another work day like this tomorrow. I hate the "spotting" part of this rollercoaster ride!! If I'm going to be upset this month, I would much rather give myself time in the AM before work than breakdown in the middle of the workday.

Ugh...thanks for listening. I'm usually much stronger at night with all this stuff, so I'm hoping I'll be back on track tonight.

    Venting session complete.
