What brand of makeup is safe while pregnant

I just found out I'm expecting and I'm trying to figure out what everyday things aren't safe anymore.

For example what makeup brand is safe?
Bodywash?
Shampoo and conditioner?
Moisturizer?

Thanks.

  • If you google it you will find a list of ingredients you're meant to avoid. Parabens for example are meant to be bad as is salicylic acid and when I had a facial the lady wouldn't use vitamin A cream on me.
To be perfectly honest though I've pretty much kept up my regular beauty routine and I think you'll find many other women say the same.

  • I hadn't even thought about it nor did it cross my mind last time. DD is perfectly healthy. If you're worried about it, look up ingredients as PP said.

Not everyone goes the natural or organic route, but I have similar concerns so have done a lot of research and this is what I'm comfortable with: Pretty much anything at whole foods is good (though pricey). Tarte if you like Sephora. Pacifica and Yes To if you're at Target. Also Burt's Bees although they're more body than makeup but they do have a few great products like shimmer lip shine. Hope this helps!!
  • I use all the same stuff minus the retA acne medication, aczone, acanya, and medicated face wash. Lotions etc I kept the same .
  • i havent changed anything in my skincare & makeup routine & baby is perfectly healthy.
  • The only thing I've taken out has been salicylic acid. Doc told me a week ago that benzoyl peroxide was fine, and products are still allowed to have parabens in them even if advertised as paraben free. As long as it's a half a percent or something like that, hey don't have to list it. So I wouldn't worry about it.
  • My OB told me not to worry about any of what I was using. She said as long as I didn't ingest large quantities of it, I would be fine.
