6th week woes

Such an emotional roller coaster waiting for positive confirmation and analyzing every little thing your body does. It's exhausting. Luckily I haven't been physically sick {minus headaches} because I don't think I could handle being stressed and crying with actually being ill. How is everybody else feeling? xx StephyD

Re: 6th week woes

  • I hear ya! I actually feel like I'm in another 2 week wait until my ultrasound! I keep trying to busy myself so I don't think about it.

  • It is rough. I remember doing this with my LO, but when we went in at 7 weeks and heard that heartbeat!!! It was amazing

  • I know you posted this last week so now you're in your 7th week, but I'm feeling this right now too. The waiting and waiting for that first appointment is driving me nuts!
  • It's driving me nuts lol...next week is my confirmation appointment and the week after that is my ultrasound.  I'm trying to focus on anything else to pass the time until we go....although, I don't particularly want to focus on the constant nausea that's developed this week....no bueno!

  • I forgot how hard the waiting is. Last time no one listened to me when I said I have a long cycle, so we ended up having our initial 8-week appointment at six weeks instead, which came with some irritation at an insensitive midwife who warned us about risk of early loss when the ultrasound showed six weeks of development instead of eight (even though I TOLD EVERYONE IT WAS LIKELY NOT EIGHT WEEKS. We switched practices after a few more appointments like that...), but it also meant I had appointments at six, eight, and then twelve weeks, which meant so much less waiting. I understand why my OB wants to see me for the first time between eight and ten weeks, but the waiting is a b**ch.

  • I'm 6 weeks 3 days and won't have my first midwife appt will 8 weeks 4 days. Even then it's just an appt no ultrasound. They may try and hear the heartbeat but I doubt it as its too early. This is my 5th pregnancy and it's very similar to the one that resulted in a MMC - as I have no symptoms besides sore boobs. I'm not even tired. With my other three pregnancies I was exhausted even before my bfp and by 6 weeks I had all day ms.
  • The wait is so hard. My first appointment is 11/12 but it's mainly lab work and there will not be a US :(
  • I am trying to not stress out. My 1st pregnancy I was young and dumb so I didn't even think about anything which I wish I could do now. My 2nd they told me 8wks but saw them at 6wk because of bleeding. This one seems like forever. I am 6w3d and my appointment is 11/12. I keep reading horrible things hear,Google, and other sites and can't help but to panic.
