FYI - a trick for dealing with smelly smells

I used to work as a shipboard engineer, which meant that occasionally I had to deal with the sewage system.

A trick I learned for avoiding the smell is to take some Vicks vapor rub and put it under your nose.

Now that I work in an engineering office, there are a handful of people that do not smell like roses. Lots of old man breath, fish lunch breath, and generally sweaty men. This is a trick I've implemented and has worked pretty well.

I work in childcare, and the vapo rub is too strong, but sucking on a menthol cough drop covers up stinky poo poo diapers like a charm. I've also sprayed my perfume into the elbow of my shirt so I can take a whiff if something catches me by surprise.

I've used that working in nursing also..helps!!

I am a social worker and do home visits and even when not pregnant the smells can be overwhelming. I've thought of getting an essential oil roll on and putting it under my nose before visits.

I work in an ER and I use the same trick! Peppermint oil is also good too.
